What counter do you use?
 

I use PayCounter

It gives me everything i need but has a few drawbacks in my eyes ...


1. takes forever to view referrers
2. slows page down when loading
3. is limited to 100 sites



my main concern is total hits (unique and reloads) and referrer.


A feature i would like is to be able to view referrer stats over a time period.

example:
lets say RR, how many hits has he sent me so far this year regardless of the gallery.
OR
How many hits has he sent me to my xyz gallery for the last year.

btw the counter doesnt need to pay me, from like 3 mil hits ove gotten in last 6 months, i think i got 19 clicks on the counter, LOL!!!

None ,I have never ever found a accurate counter,nor do I believe there is one.I just go by the scripts numbers.Have tried every single 1 and never had 2 match.Either out by 200 or by a long shot.So gave up..

Use server based stats!

I use paycounter and have the same problems with viewing referrers, takes forever to load. But overall their service is great and would recommend it.

Refer URL, Search Terms used, browser used, display, raw hits, unique and tons more.

i use paycounter. i'd like to see a breakdown of what individual pages are getting the hits. i put each counter on multiple pages, so seeing what pages are getting the hits would be nice.

but they seem to have pretty much everything i need. fairly accurate as well when compared to my server stats.

what i do is set up one counter for say all my thumb gallery pages. i'd like to see a breakdown within that single counter for what pages are getting hits. just like referers are broken down for that content.

every time i make a new page, i add it to my counter ... so i can se a breakdown of how many hits each page is getting, and from who.

not sure i see the point in using a counter in this way.


make a new counter for each page, youll see the stats you want.

They pay me.. I like there counter... Had a little trouble with it on 1 of my pages... Goes wacko every so often... sent'm an email and got a very fast answer... Tried paycounter a long time ago... took them off. Tried sextracker... took them off (adware says they are spyware)... Told what adware reports... didn't bother them... sextracker.. the last thing I want is some surfer telling me I put sypware on his/her computer...

Ok, some feedback on Foxcounter, which I've been using in a small way since long before they started paying for hits.

Periodically, they seem to have server troubles and the counter loads slowly on pages or fails to load. Then they usually fix it. But I think their system is underpowered overall.

They pay, instantly at the end of month via paypal. Is nice, although I'm not using them for enough traffic to amount to any real sum of money.

For awhile they were paying six cents a unique. Then, at about the time they announced the bump to ten cents, they had a BAD episode of counters not loading. It lasted several days, perhaps almost a week.

Now that has stopped, and my foxcounter stats again pretty much match my serverlogs (as close as any page counter ever does, anyway.) However, I'm getting less than ten percent as many paying clicks (on the same or bigger traffic) as I was getting before the changeover. Since Dialerking says they don't shave, I can only presume they are still having some sort of technical problems.

For instance, yesterday (January 1) I got exactly one paying click out of ~6,200 recorded unique page views of the pages I'm using fox counter for. In mid-December, I had a lot of days when I had 10 to 15 paying clicks out of similar traffic. So something's not right.

However, the payment is a bonus. I haven't found a better overall adult counter system, and I was using it cheerfully before they started paying.

i wonder, how do you find the features? Im sure it has all the basics, but as i mentioned referer stats are very important to me, more so than a payout for clicks.


Does it hold its own against the *big dawgs* like paycounter and sextracker?

The referrer stats work well, but the only way to view them is by calender day; you click on a little calendar and get to see the stats for that day, in several views one of which is referrer.

Also I think foxcounter may be a tiny bit substandard in picking up and identifying referrers. I say this only because the "bookmarks" number always seems a little bit high, and sometimes I can correlate this with odd urls in my server stats that don't show in foxcounter. But this doesn't really matter because the volume is invariably low.

Hey Dialerking, any update on why the clicks aren't registering since the update to 10 cents per? I still seem to be getting many fewer paying clicks (like 10 or 20% of the clicks I was getting before the rate change) on similar traffic. You guys still having server issues, or is this thing working the way it's supposed to now?

For those who are more interested in getting the best stats and free hits back than a few bucks a month, there's <a href="http://www.velocount.com">Velocount</a>.

Velocount does referrer tracking by full url and domain, as well as search engine tracking. Also we don't limit the number of sites you can have per account - I don't know why other counters impose limits on this.

I like foxcounter the best..
Tried paycounter, could'nt even log in.. Sent mail to support, they said
"it works here" and then they wouldn't do anymore with the

Forkbeard, our counter is working fine. I have checked your account and made you 10cents. Remember it is 2nd page uniques that we count. We are about to change the gif image as it is going a little stale.
For those wondering:

1)The referers etc load really quick. We are using brand new Xeon servers and they are running at less than half their capacity.

2)We are now being hosted by the great guys at Techie media
(lightning free and smut server)

3) Our aim with foxcounter is to show webmasters how good our service is. And we are putting our money were our mouth is by paying 10cents per unique. Read about it here:

Well, thanks for checking. It just seems odd that paying clicks dropped very suddenly. But my traffic is small enough overall that I suppose it could be a statistical oddity.

It's not like the handful of change my traffic generates matters anyway -- I was just curious. I was using your counters when you didn't pay -- they are the best I've found. Thanks again.

I have been using sexlist for the past few years and find them pretty good.

You can track individual pages and also setup exit stats which is really useful for seeing how many hits you are sending to sponsors.

Paycounter is the best one to track lots of sites/galleries. I could some of the stuff already mentioned.

Hey, that would be very handy for all the sponsors that have lame stats.

Foxy, you guys should add that functionality. :winkwink:
