Can you clone a 3G sim card?

I have an iPhone 3Gs and want to get an iPad 3G when it come out. I'm on a 3Gb data pack on my iPhone and I don't want to get another data pack for the iPad. So, can I get a clone of my sim to use in the iPad?

not possible...with the latest generation of sim cards at least. ipads dont even use normal sim cards anyhow
