Well, did u think of rebooting after uninstalling? or else it jsut keeps the temp files and its no use reinstalling the program...

I always run the "lite" version - had to many bad runs with the other one

Voodoo 12-27-2002 06:55 PM

Hmm...
It started on 2002a,
I installed the new 2003 version,
and have also tried ICQLite.
All crash when sending or receiving messages.

Trillian does the same thing.

If you do, disable them and se what happends

All were disabled already.

When you reinstall ICQ, do you import the old database, or start out with a new clean one?

Voodoo 12-27-2002 07:22 PM

I've been starting a new one.

wonder if its a conflict with Xp? I see your messages but shows your offline when i send back.Is this a fresh install of XP? or a copy.

Voodoo 12-27-2002 07:23 PM

I'm on a clean formatted install of WinXP Pro right now.
Just installing ICQ for the first time, and it's still crashing when sending/receiving.
