Who will win the Stanley Cup this year?

I will be picking the Pens to take it all this year. Detroit seem to be heating up but I don't see them taking it all. Vancouver has a great keeper in luongo and the art Ross trophy winner from the regular season - 8.5/1 is great value!

Sportsbook has all the odds for the NHL playoffs

Martin 04-12-2010 01:09 PM

Pens, Sid the Kid is playing great hockey.

Ovechkin and the Caps are looking really good this year. Buffalo would be my surprise pick to go far.

Martin 04-12-2010 01:24 PM

Speaking of hockey and the Pens. Anybody catch Cooke getting dropped by a 19 year old rookie? hahaha

Spudstr 04-12-2010 01:41 PM

Caps caps caps!

gaffg 04-12-2010 02:40 PM

wow sick hockey fight knockout

these playoffs look tough to pick. Repeating as champions is tough to do as you have to have played the most number of games in the past 2 years. If Ovie misses 3 games in a playoffs their team is done. New Jersey I think is a safe pick and their team size is 6'4"

On the west Detroit could take out anybody. San Jose and Chicago are good but are they experienced enough.

It's been a while since I've wanted to follow playoffs this much.

Caps or Devils.

Nicky 04-12-2010 02:44 PM

No one said Chicago yet? I'm hoping for Caps , Vancouver or Detroit though.

I agree. Without Anaheim, my interest in the playoffs this year is pretty low, but I don't see any of the West teams really doing it (even if they are superior to the East teams in regular season). I hate the Devils, though, so Go Alexander(s) !!

NaughtyRob 04-12-2010 02:50 PM

I hope its the Pens in a repeat but the Caps sure seem to have what it takes this year.

Chicago is a team I could see being upset in the first round actually; without Campbell and KJ, their defense is slightly weakened especially if the coach decides to keep Seabrook + Keith split up and their goalie is not a proven playoff performer, whoever they go with.

IMO Nashville can upset them.

Sharks have it pinned this year

Adam X 04-12-2010 03:25 PM

San Ho............

UnUnited 04-12-2010 04:22 PM

Im picking Vancouver as a long shot , seems like good history if they could win the olympics and cup in the same year at home.

GatorB 04-12-2010 04:35 PM

I'll root for the Preds/Blackhawks winner. Not that I think that team will win just the team I'll root for.

philly!

fuck I wish I put some money on it :(

ErectMedia 05-23-2010 03:15 PM

Chicago of course I'm biased cause I have been here 37 years.

PornMD 05-23-2010 04:04 PM

Well we know a team who had at least 34:1 odds will make it to the finals. Anyone got a spare time machine?

dooglas 05-23-2010 08:09 PM

I picked Chicago before the year started. Looks like it might happen! :)
