Are there still people with a serious budget looking for sites that have a steady revenue stream? Or is that market completely dried up.

Why im asking? Because i might be selling ...

Maybe i should have posted more info.

Steady as in over a year steady.
Unique site, unique features, some new features not even launched.

Im not even talking about selling adspace (which in my opinion is never steady) but revenue as is from what the site is making without that, and without promoting it or buying traffic etc.

According to the GFY domain selling thingy, someone recently paid 90k for a domain name so I'd say there are people still buying stuff. Will you get trolled and bashed when you post whatever it is, yes indeed. But, that's just the current gfy so throw it up here and deal with it I guess. That's gotta be better than an "IF I Sell It" thread. :-)

Im guessing you mean oneclicktube but if its as good as you say then no reason to sell. If you have too much going on then hire employees.

Yes thats one option...... but also you see good money making businesses for sale often as it gives the owner a instant lump $$ sum to use as cash flow for other projects and also gives them total freedom from having to handle that particular business.

Ususally running something with hired help can still require lots of time to keep a check on things....

There is still money in adult. Yes, there are a few people who can still afford big ticket items. It just may take you 90+ days to sell them now a days.

I sold my tube pay site last week. It had nice sales stats and a 48% retention ratio. But few could afford asking price. I have sold plenty of other sites this year, and it took a combination of waiting, and negotiation to get them to close. You have many who waste your time.

You have to keep in mind that 93% of this industry, especially those on the forums, can't afford anything over $500.00. Out of that other 7% that can, maybe 2% is actually actively looking or buying.

Now, you take this economy and the glut on the market of people selling their shit off all trying to get at that 2%. Domains, empires, content, and whatever. All battling to get their goodies to that 2% who can actually afford it. You have longer and longer waits to close it out. Unless you go develop a market for your goodies. :winkwink:

In closing, short answer is yes. There are still some people around who can afford things. But the higher the price tag, the more bullshit you have to deal with and the longer it will take to close it out.

True. The only reason im not posting it in public isnt the trolls, we all know that it makes absolutely no difference for someone that is really interested. If they are influenced by trolls and haters that dont even OWN their own biz i wouldnt sell it to them in the first place.

I know it sounds cheesy, to post a feeler thread. But honestly, im at that point that i need to decide to let it go and see it managed properly, or hire someone to manage it for me. And since im hesitant to hire more people to add to my company (i know it sounds fun to be a boss, but bossing to many people isnt what i consider the fun part of this biz), im leaning more and more towards selling it. Taking the money, and putting it in the project that we are focusing on now, and building that up is becoming more what i want to do every day. Managing more employees means more "people management" work, and to be honest im getting less enthousiastic about that part..

I was always forum shy untill some people told me to go on them because it would bring me a lot of biz. Which honestly, it did. So im not sure about how it was long long time ago, but i still like GFY even with the trolls/haters. In fact, without them, would our threads be bumped that much? Wow. Im actually honestly amazed by the amount of people that ARE interested in this and are serious about it. I decided this night (i didnt sleep much), that i indeed need to sell so someone can enjoy it.

I will probably gather the info, im not much of a site-salespitch-guy so dont expect to much from me in that department but nonetheless i will give it a try.

Update: ive had some nice offers (companies and/or solo biz people from gfy), and like said i finally decided to sell it instead of trying to holdon to it.

I have had some nice talks, and there are way more people interested (people that i consider to be serious about this after checking), so im gathering some info on this, revenu stats, costs etc.

I wont be giving out everyting in detail, untill the deal is closed. The buyer will get to "know it all" off course. People that have contacted me and that i promised to send the info: Please be a bit patient with me, im doing my best to gather the info and i will email you asap.
