I have had enough of Firefox. It crashes at least once daily anymore, and I just lost a blog page I had been working on for half an hour.

i tried google chrome yesterday and i thought i imported my google bookmarks, but couldn't find it afterwards

do you run the google toolbar with chrome? or is it all integrated?

I have long decided to just make drafts in Notepad (even with html) and just assemble everything in the blog when I need to publish them. It's a bitch to do but it saves you on frequent mishaps.

Firefox is complete shit. It locked up my computer all the time. Then I got google chrome and it hasn't crashed, once, and I use it 16 hours a day!

I use Chrome, FireFox and IE on a daily basis.

Chrome = facebook/fast pages/bank account/ccbill stat checking/websites browsing
FireFox = using scripts / etc since some functions don't work in chrome / zombaio checking since zombaio won't work on Chrome
IE = Live site testing since most people still use IE

I don't have any problems Firefox, Chrome works well but I still rather use Firefox due to all the add-ons.

I switched from FF to Chrome a few months back... still use FF for a couple things though.

I thought I was the only person having ridiculous problems with FF lately. My browser crashes at least 3 time a day. Ridiculous.

hehehe people crack me up talking about how great firefox is and then saying they need 500 plugins to make it work but its better then IE.

Haven't used Chrome yet. Firefox works fine for me.

Check your extensions, don't blame a perfectly good browser for the poor coding of someone outside of the Mozilla group.

opera is the best.

The only things I have added to firefox is something that makes my tabs different colors and the add on to make Roboform work. I have had both of those running with it since I started using FF a couple of years ago. So I am pretty clueless.

I'm using 3.5.9, but I started having these problems before I updated to it. It's been crappy for me the last month or so.

ya, I have to admit I was a real FF fanboy for a long time, but it has really gone to shit.

Extensions won't even work in FF for me since the latest update.

I did a fresh install of win 7 from xp and my FF hasn't crashed once yet, not using unnecessary fag add-ons

I'm just saying don't start blaming the browser for others mistakes, I've been running the latest version and all my extensions, without a problem on a 6 year old machine that can't even upgrade past XP.

The latest version is 3.6.3. Perhaps the issue that is crashing you was fixed in one of the 4 updates since your version.

Same here. Crashes and freezes all the time. Thinking of downloading Chrome soon and see what all the buzz is about.

I do everything on Notepad as well. I just click save every minute to save everything. I'm so use to it by now that clicking save is second hand now. I lost so many things that took hours and this way is much easier for me.

I don't like Firefox either.... it never was good for me...

I found that the extensions are what cause problems. Turn off any extensions you don't really use on a daily basis. When you need them, turn them on individually. It really speeds up Firefox as well.

Overall though, I am now a Chrome user. They have plenty of very useful extensions and I find it to be quite a bit faster. It still has some bugs that are annoying but I'm sure they'll get worked out soon.

If you're not dependent on third party FF extensions then give Seamonkey a try. It's the same base Mozilla code that FF uses, just a different branch.

I was removing Firefox yesterday for the same reason, It crashing all the time.

Google chrome is the shit, works realy fast.

I tried that after posting my version yesterday. It's still crashing on me.

I appreciate the suggestion though. I must have missed more updates than I thought.

I used to be a huge FF fan. I'm now using Chrome most of the time. Too many crashes
