Realtouch supposed to revolution the porn... or not?

What happened to the Realtouch?
The tube killer? The device that reinvented porn?
What they did wrong?
- they locked the device with their service?
- they charged too much?
- online ordering?
- ...?

Answered your own question? Give it time before calling it a complete failure. I personally would never stick my dick into something connected via USB.

unimatrix0 04-06-2010 12:16 AM

lets face it
that thing can't hurt you.
So its the shape? The size that turn you off?

Fat Panda 04-06-2010 12:27 AM

it sure looks big

Overpriced + almost ridiculous affiliate payouts, so it isn't even worth to try it out and send traffic there.

Try to wrap your head around the idea of it. Who is going to buy this and then PAY again to watch videos while it sucks his cock, when he can just buy something else and stroke his cock with it and watch all the free porn he wants.

They need to enable deep-linking so traffic can be sent to pages besides the main page of the RealTouch site. And to get webmasters to promote them more strongly there needs to be better/longer return tracking. Most surfers will not make a decision on their first visit to the RealTouch site. Products like this need at least a 6-month cookie, if not longer. One month is much too short to make it worth sending much traffic.

Also, that new graphic on the RealTouch consumer site (as seen in second post above) promising better things in May is just an absolute signup killer. It may as well have a big headline screaming "DON'T BUY YET!"

Of course this may just be my opinion.

Question: Do you know anyone who has made a sale of a RealTouch device yet?

I agree completely with everything you've said. The price point is a step up from your typical jerkoff device, and someone is not going to buy without surfing around first. This is beyond the normal price of an impulse buy, like a porn membership or some shit on eBay you like.

And the 'teaser' about new stuff coming in May only means that the person who was on the cusp of purchasing is now going to wait it out to see whether the price drops in May...

Looks like trouble but it must be awesome...

It is supposed to revolutionize the laughter from your thread title. It has done that.

By "wrong" do you mean why aren't more selling? I mean, I'll bet they've been sent plenty of traffic, but ratios aren't good because they've got the price packages right there on the front page immediately turning off customer. $199 in the bottom-right corner and usage payment options in the bottom-left corner, so right off the bat you know you'll be spending a bundle. This totally distracts from how cool and AMAZING the concept of this product is! Let them learn about what it is before scaring them with those huge prices. Honestly, wtf? This is one of the best, most exciting inventions I've ever heard of. It's an AWESOME product (I can vouch for that ;-) but they should totally make the user find the prices after learning more about the product...

Does anyone agree with me on this? I feel like this is the biggest problem...

seeandsee 05-17-2010 11:14 AM

they need to be more user friendly with prices :)

This is the kind of product where demonstration would work charms

I've seen that in Vegas on my own eyes and it's a great product

But well, since it's not a vacuum cleaner, but something you're supposed to stick your cock into it's quite problematic :winkwink:

I can just imagine selling RealTouch in front of Wal Mart

"Come on people! The revolution is here!

Who wants to have sex tonight?"

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

P.S: I know someone who sold it already :)
