We are having leg of lamb and prime rib.

candyflip 04-04-2010 01:57 PM

We had turkey, ham, and all sorts of stuff on the side. My dad's family is huge and they had about 50 people over for lunch.

PurrrsianPussyKat 04-04-2010 01:59 PM

I just glazed my spiral sliced ham, also having kielbasi, baked sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, corn and cressent rolls. Then for dessert I made a carrot cake with cream cheese icing from scratch. :)

fatfoo 04-04-2010 02:02 PM

Leg of lamb sounds good. Hey, did you hear the the price of milk-fed lambs in Canada has gone up 22% ?

I had rabbit for the first time this winter. It was so tender and tasty! Mine was roasted though. Are you able to source it locally?

SBJ 04-04-2010 04:08 PM

Well for lunch I had a double whopper and for dinner I think taco bell sounds good.. Haha I really need to go shopping for food one of these days this week :1orglaugh

CamTraffic 04-04-2010 07:07 PM

family dinner was awesome, lots of ham, sautéed potatoes, asparagus, broccoli salad, lottsa cheese and wine, fresh fruits and coconut cake ( paula deen style)

Elli 04-04-2010 07:54 PM

I' m happy to report the ham was a hit. It was my first attempt at a pre-cooked, recooked ham. I got a toupie-style ham, slow baked for an hour surrounded with squash, carrots, onions, red pepper, mushrooms, then for the last 20 mins basted it with a homemade honey dijon sauce a few times. YUM! I'll definitely be trying that one again. Anything that impresses in-laws is good in my books :)

digitaldivas 04-04-2010 08:00 PM

prime rib here as well. the best thing about prime rib is the sandwiches you make afterwards. This next weeks menu = yum

VikingMan 04-04-2010 08:04 PM

Cornish hen
Scalloped potatoes

Chardonay

Shot it myself this morning.

Caught the little fucker sneaking around the neighbors yard where their children play.

heymatty 04-04-2010 10:44 PM

Also had roast leg of lamb. But only a half leg as it was just 4 of us.

California lamb is pretty much all we can get fresh here and its not the best tasting lamb. NZ frozen would of been a better bet.
