I went and picked up two iPad's today (thank you Business Services for the no wait!) and went into the office to do final QC on www.PinkVisualPad.com and got to play around a bit and I have to say they are pretty cool. Light weight, easy to use of course, much like a bigger iTouch.

Who else got one and whatcha think?

A person with nickname "Kristin" messaged me on icq. Was it you? I can do an epass/paypal transfer, yes. I've heard of these so-called "iPads", but I never got one. They look interesting in the news articles.

Thing is Apple ususally set 1 official update per year ....so maybe it could be a years wait ! :( unless they do a few tweeks then set the yearly slot.

We had our mobile sites linked up on the pad site and I had them changed to the PC tours, they look great on the iPad!

I had my 16gig Ipad delivered via UPS at 10AM sat and I Love it! It's a lot faster than I thought it would be and it does everything that it says it does. I loaded a digital copy of The Hangover to check out the video and it looks amazing! :thumbsup

I'm really glad i picked this up now my only thoughts are if i sell this one to my sister for half price in a month to get the 64gig with or without 3g :1orglaugh. 16gigs is just not going to be big enough unless you want to have to be putting movies, books, and music on and off the ipad.

I'm laying in bed and posting in mine right now.

Oh and I'm naked.

At the IPad... not you.

First major issue is its weak wifi signal and tendency to drop the signal altogether forcing you to log back in to the network. Plenty of others having the same issue as me, not good.

yeah you have no idea what you are talking about! I have a gf that has a dell mini netbook and I've used it before and now have a Ipad and this thing is so much faster than ANY netbook. The only thing is a netbook can do webmaster work and this one is more of a surfing thing but it is surfing faster than my laptop that is 2.2ghz with 3 gigs of ram.

I'm not a Apple fanboy and I won't be just cause i like the ipad but for what this is it's badass

May i ask a silly question? What is the point of the 3G if it has wireless already? I mean if you wanted to make calls on it could you not just use the Skype app?

That will be their loss, as the other companies putting out Tablets will be constantly updating their products.

nice, im developing a wp plugin to easily allow ipad and iphone functions with a shortcode, so it will only be displayed to those devices in your posts.

With 3G you are connected all the time ... no matter where you are or wifi you are near.

Grab a mifi and you're always connected but at 60/mo for the mifi. 3g will be 30/mo but don't know if it's truly unlimited

So on the iPad, can you download a mp4 video from a website, and play it right then and there?

next silly question... Any chance you can tether your ipad to your iphone (to use the 3g) like i do with my iphone tethered to my mac.

hows the battery life so far?

seems to be about 6 hours if you really really push it and 11/12 hours for 'normal' use. And no heat produced, which is nice.
