This might be a big break in reducing a % of tube site traffic.

If Ipad grows beyond control, and the new generation of surfers can't view tube sites...

more traffic will be sent to us poor little html sites with no flash demos....

I disagree. More people know how to point w/their fingers then work a keyboard or mouse.

Once they make a 2nd generation Ipad, next year, with a folding seamless screen.... the ipad will fit in your pocket and then open up with a big clean screen.

Some people still can't figure out the basics of computers, the Ipad is a computer for your basic non informed consumer that wants, email, porn, roadmaps, porn, music, and uh, did I mention porn?

I think it's going to take more than that to kill off tubes. If there's a big enough market then webmasters (both legitimate and shady) will adapt. Look at the craze over mobile capable sites as smartphones become more widely used.

Ipad is the only way to bring porn back into the bedroom where it belongs. I'm assuming men don't like masterbating in front of a computer screen. The iphone screen is too small, so now we have Ipad. In the future, kids will be hiding their Ipads under their mattresses in stead of magazines! lol

Not going to happen. Once people realize they still need the wifi, and then at least $30 a month for shitty 3G it'll change. The only reason they're selling out is because they're marketing Geniuses and have previously come out with revolutionary products, however, the iPad will not be one of them.

I also think the price is ridiculous.

Remember when cell phones came out? $ 2 a minute!
Now, $ 40 a month unlimited everywhere.

In years to come the price will bottom out... as I'm sure Adobe and Mac will figure out how to get flash into their shiney new toy.

I'm waiting for the Ipad flex. A fold up seamless screen that will fit in your pocket and pop open to the size of a sheet of paper. I know they have one sitting in their lab already, they just won't release until we've all purchased the big hard screen version.

Flash is halfway in the grave. HTML5 is the future. Besides, I don't think Apple truly cares about Flash that much. Steve Jobs refuses to acknowledge Flash until Adobe is willing to fix it on the Mac. Adobe has already said they refuse.

The concept of the Flex is awesome, no doubt about it. What I'm scared of is the price and long-term usability.

I don't see the iPad replacing netbooks.

The people surfing Tubes will not buy the iPad. I think it will take a lot more than this to kill Tubes. Sad thing is this industry is not coming up with many ideas.
