Hitler is evil because the winners of war get to decide how history is written, and we have decided that there was a thing called the Final Solution. It's much easier to accept the Jewish deaths that way.

Many years from now it will be discussed more openly how the allied forces cutting off German supply lines had such an effect on the Jewish camps.
