Did you ever solve Rubik's Cube?

I never even came close. How about you?

skinnay 03-30-2010 09:46 PM

I had the first algorithm down, then got frustrated and gave up

some day.. =)

shwsrvcs 03-30-2010 09:54 PM

I used to be able to solve it in under 38 seconds, but now I can't remember the last moves. So I end up with a mostly done cube.

solve one side (line up the colors on the side too)
flip over, line up the center squares with the side colors from the solved bottom part
place all the side pieces in the right spots and then you have just the top part not solved.... thats as far as i get

Once in a while I'll end up taking it apart and just finishing it that way. I don't want to break down and read the solution.

CunningStunt 03-30-2010 10:17 PM

I'd get it half done, then take the thing to pieces. Didn't have the patience for it.

brassmonkey 03-30-2010 10:18 PM

yup i smashed it

LAJ 03-30-2010 10:24 PM

Yeah... could routinely solve it in around a minute when I was 13 back in the early 80s. Still can solve it today actually but it takes much longer lol.

BIGTYMER 03-30-2010 10:26 PM

Hell no! Never came even close...

Monty1969 03-30-2010 10:47 PM

yep with major help from manual

mikeyddddd 03-30-2010 11:16 PM

AaronM 03-30-2010 11:23 PM

Never been really fast but I can typically do it in 3 minutes or less. I have done it in half that time though.

ya, my fastest time solving a 3x3 was in just over 2 minutes. I've solved a 4x4 also. It's exactly the same as a 3x3, with the addition of a couple of more algorithms.

Sid70 03-31-2010 01:08 AM

in 10 seconds! Just one side though :(

bbobby86 03-31-2010 02:04 AM

couple of times...

Raf1 03-31-2010 05:12 AM

never managed it myself. I'll google up the instructions later on to give it a go :)

I took mine to bits and then rebuilt it solved.

Klen 03-31-2010 05:31 AM

I think for resolving it you need to have mathematics mind.

The Rubik's Cube is like a penis. The more you play with it, the harder it gets. :winkwink:

EscortBiz 03-31-2010 05:33 AM

some amazing tube vids on this

scarlettcontent 03-31-2010 05:36 AM

never and very fustrating too

Daddy Big Nuts 03-31-2010 06:16 AM

I did once.....and promptly forgot how I did it. I think that I was in 3rd grade maybe?

Cyber Fucker 03-31-2010 06:36 AM

Yes, and I can do it again in less than 60 seconds. :pimp

I did the same thing. :1orglaugh

BestXXXPorn 03-31-2010 07:17 AM

I can solve a Rubik's cube but it takes me an hour... nothing like these < 10 seconds for any combination guys:

CaptainHowdy 03-31-2010 07:30 AM

My 7 yr old son got one and brought it to me and said, "Dad, can you show me how to do this, because you know how to do eveyrthig". I was left with 3 choices.....

1. Explain that Daddy doesnt know everything and that its ok because nobody does

2. Pray that after 30+yrs of trying, somehow I'd figured the dam thing out for the firrst time

3. Google "how to solve a Rubik's Cube video tutorial"

Take a wild guess which one I went with ;)

andrej_NDC 03-31-2010 08:00 AM

When I was about 10-12 years old, it was a hit in school. I was able to do it back then, don't remember the algorithm anymore, I would need to learn it again. :)

Loch 03-31-2010 08:08 AM

All the time, but after a while you cant get the stickers back on :(

alexchechs 03-31-2010 08:17 AM

I solved it, after I took it apart. I never had the patience.

minddust 03-31-2010 08:18 AM

I peeled the damn stickers, I admit it.

cykoe6 03-31-2010 08:46 AM

When I was a kid I got two opposing sides one time.

:thumbsup easy

Tom_PM 03-31-2010 08:55 AM

Got it back in the day, yep. Only the original one though, not the more difficult versions that came out later.

michael.kickass 03-31-2010 09:11 AM

I solved 2 sides and that's my limit for sure!

spankmo 03-31-2010 09:14 AM

top, centre, sides, then the bottom corners.. been a long while side i did it, and have totally forgotten the sequence of moves.. had way too much time on my hands as a kid of the 80s.
