There are supposedly hundreds of terrorists in the USA right now... yet there's never been a single suicide bombing that I know of here. You'd think they'd be blowing themselves up left and right if there actually were so many or any here....

Kinda makes you wonder. But there have been prosecutions of people casing buildings, etc.

They are waiting until after mid term elections. If they don't strike then, god knows when they will. Al Qaeda usually strikes after elections. I thought they would strike for sure last year. It does make you wonder.

A month or two after 9/11 I actually had to move because of a attempted terrorist attack on a Military base. I used to live in Cocoa Beach and drove to Melbourne down A1A everyday to work back when I had a day job.

They ended up closing A1A in front of Patrick Air Force base, due to an attempted terrorist attack on that base. It didn't get much press back then, but I can tell you they shut the road down for probably 6 to 8 months because of it and at the time were saying it would remain closed indefinably.

They ended up putting up major blast barriers in front of all the buildings next to the high way and blast proofed the building as well by closing in all the windows and strengthened the buildings against bombs.

I had to move because it made my drive to work change from 25 mins to well over a hour each way and traffic was horrid.

If you watch the news you see small groups getting caught fairly often.. I think we haven't had another attack because the FBI and Homeland security are actually on the ball, but we only hear the bad shit. Hell look at the raids with those Militia guys just this week. They are obviously doing something right a reasonable amount of time to catch these kinda guys before they hit something.

While the govt does screw up a lot, they don't get credit or headlines when they do it right. If you think back about it, there have been a lot of spoiled attempts since 9/11 they just don't get the major press.

you don't think muslims are monitored like hawks, mosques and muslim groups infiltrated? if someone they think is capable of that sneezes they are raided and locked up. not much on the national news, but common on local news.

Well, I would say because it takes a special person to be willing to blow themselves up like that. And to find them with frequency around here is going to be tough. Those suicide bombers want to die. From birth they are told how good it is to die for your faith.

Waaaaaaay too much money in the "war on terror" or whatever they're calling it these days... We could wipe out every last terrorist and we'd still be at "condition yellow" or "condition orange"... To resolve the issue is to lose funding. Just think, they could be hiding anywhere at any time... forEVER!

the way to break it down to terrorists is that the only thing that will change if they commit a terror act is that inocent people will die and they the terrorist will end up dead too, people dont give in to their demands, so why do anything at all?

Sorry but I think you're so wrong in the case of yesterday's bombing, the bombers were most probably black widows. Black widows are Chechen women who have lost their husband, sons, brothers and other loved ones in the war with the Russians. They probably feel they have nothing else to live for but to take revenge upon the ones who did them wrong.

Faith has little or no role in this matter of revenge.

After yesterday's events, how can you argue with them?

I was answering the question in a general way. It does not fit every scenario.

There will be another terrorist attack I'm sure, and it will be blamed on AL-CIA-DA or the Tea Party (not that I'm a teapartier). All the sheeple will run to the gov and the gov will take away more of your rights and spend more of your money on bombs for the sake of your security. Eventually the people will wake up when the grip gets too tight. Its already too tight but people still dont see yet amazing.
