Going to a film in central London costs nearly as much as a stage theatre ticket.

:1orglaugh they should ask if u want dinner first.

ottopottomouse 03-29-2010 04:20 AM

I like going to the cinema. Some films are definitely better there than watched from a download. But its £11.00 a ticket here (about $16.50) plus you always end up eating out too plus they never seem to put things on at convenient times.

MissMina 03-29-2010 06:06 AM

I paid 9.00 a ticket for Alice In Wonderland 3D

Everything should technically get more expensive year to year. However I do think ticket prices are through the roof right now and need to drop. Running a theater is such a cheap business with a very minimal overhead. There is no reason for prices to be what they are.

jeez and dont go hungry you'll end up spending 50 bucks for a pizza and a couple drinks

Cyber Fucker 03-29-2010 08:25 AM

I've nerver liked to watch movies at movie theaters anyway. I like to enjoy good movies alone stoned in silence.

candyflip 03-29-2010 08:29 AM

I went to see Avatar in IMax. That was the first time I'd stepped into a theatre almost 18 months. I doubt I'll go again anytime soon, and I used to go to the movies 4-5 times a week and worked in a theatre for 4 years during school.

Tom_PM 03-29-2010 08:44 AM

Havent been to movie theater in over 20 yrs now. The thing will be on HD 3D super jumbo tron tv and blueray and instant pay per view within a few months for like 5 bucks. Why do you need to sit in gum with 100 strangers? You dont.

Sorry theaters.
