FL, United States (AHN) - A 25-year-old Florida man was sentenced to 15 years for trying to break back into prison. Prior to this recent incident the man was placed on seven years probation after being convicted of manslaughter.

Florida authorities originally released Sylvester Jiles from the Brevard County Detention Center. However Jiles was so fearful of reprisals from the victim's family that he begged prison authorities to put him back into jail.

He was told that he couldn't be sent back inside and that he should contact local law enforcement and file a police report.

Not satisfied with that recourse, he tried to break his way into jail anyway. Jiles was only able to get past one of two barbed wire fences. As he scaled the barrier he suffered deep cuts in the process.

Ultimately a judge handed down the maximum of 15 years for the attempted prison break-in

Maybe Fox will pick up the concept as a follow up to PRISON BREAK !

Some people are trying to get back into prison. This is interesting.

This makes me think about homeless people. Some homeless people die in the wintertime, because they freeze to death outside. If a homeless person was put into jail, he would receive heating and some food and he would not die.
