Where should I rent in VEGAS?
Looking to move to vegas for the next couple of years.
Whats a safe neighborhood I should be looking at? I don't mind the suburb feel. Looking to rent a townhouse. |
Me too, but not for a couple years...craigslist loaded with houses/apartments/rooms for rent...
Vegas people fill us in! |
Hello, wdsguy. Now, posting on a public forum you were probably expecting that some freaks were going to reply with random useless comments. Here we go... I've seen some movies that show people getting drunk and then getting married in Las Vegas. They get an anullment the next day. You are looking to move to Las Vegas for the next couple of years - this means you can make a sexual relationship that lasts more than one day. Good luck - if that is what you are looking for. Now, you might be interested in renting a bachelor apartment, you might want to rent a 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartment. A bachelor apartment in the cheapest living space that is suitable for 1 person. Well, if you decide to live with a roommate you can split the cost of some apartment with a roommate - then it will be cheaper. The cheapest option might even be to live in some guy's basement for $500 a month.
Now, having just read the last 3 sentences of your 4 sentences that you wrote, I realised that you are looking to rent specifically a townhouse in a safe neighborhood. You don't mind the suburb feel. You are probably aware that prostitution is legal in Las Vegas. Seeing that you have 19,192 posts on GFY (adult internet forum), you might even want to be involved in prostitution somehow while living in Las Vegas. When you say "safe," you probably mean less criminals in the neighborhood. This is understandable. Just keep in mind, that if someone does not like you, they can follow you to any place and neighborhood in the world, no matter where it is. Other sources to look for information (other than the troll-filled jerking off madmen world of GFY), would be perhaps to look up some information of Google (http://www.google.com) or newspaper sources of some kind. You might even pick up a "Renter's Magazine" that talks about Las Vegas. I am considering the fact that there might be some GFY nicknames that exist that know your nickname. In this case, some GFY nicknames may recommend a house for you to rent. Just keep in mind, that many of the people on GFY act with malicious intent and they will intentionally show people bad crappy deals on what they can buy. Good luck. |

I live in Green Valley, suburb SE of Vegas. Lot's of stuff to do, safe and about 15 min from the Strip.
Summerlin (West side) is also nice, just busier with more traffic. Either place you can get some screaming deals on rent. |

Southwest near Mountains Edge area, Northwest Summerlin area (although it seems to be getting more and more ghetto over here)
And the NEW North Las Vegas, way out north, all nice. |
Ranking Order- (In my opinion)
I've spent some serious time researching areas and have a vacation home in Mountains Edge and rental properties on the Strip close to Southern Highlands #1 Southern Highlands Pros: Newer houses and community, Close to the 15 to get to the strip , Great HOA management, Cons: Lack of Stores, can be expensive in some places #2 Mountains Edge Pros: Newer houses , Quiet , Wide streets , kind of Scenic Cons: Hardly any stores , Still building , Farther from the strip #3 Green Valley / Seven Hills Pros: Great deals on places , Nice Community , Closer better drive them Summerlin Seven Hills is farther out there but traffic is still decent in that part of town I wouldn't recommend Summerlin anymore , It's getting older and Isnt as quiet as these areas that I mentioned , plus I don't care what anyone says the traffic sucks driving to and from the Strip daily which most people do in this city. As for the North West or Lake Las Vegas , they are nice and there's some great deals there but it's like a 30min drive from anything that is close to the strip. |
thanks for the feedback everyone

I agree about Summerlin, it's like an over bought stock. |
