Firefox or Chrome?

Which do YOU prefer?

I'm trying them both and will weigh in, but in the meantime....

Sly 03-23-2010 11:21 AM

Chrome...

BobChezule 03-23-2010 11:22 AM

I can only speak for Firefox but I love it. I'm ashamed to admit that up until IE8 was released I was exclusively using IE. The latest version is a giant piece of ass though so I made the switch and I love Firefox. It's wicked fast.

Chrome is MUCH faster than Firefox or IE. My only complaint with Chrome isn't really with the browser, it's the shitty Roboform extension. IMHO the only reason to use Firefox is if you love your add-ons and can't find similar Chrome Extensions.

I've also found Chrome to be more stable than Firefox. If a memory leak is maxing your CPU, you can kill the affected tab in the Chrome Task Manager without having to shut down the whole browser. You can also install and disable extensions without having to reboot. While Chrome offers plenty of handy features, Firefox does offer more but I'm happy sacrificing them for the speed.

PastorSinAlot 03-23-2010 11:49 AM

chrome all the way

Asked so many times before.... however, I use Chrome yet I have FF and IE on my system.

Now what is new to hear is that I find google and FF work well at the same time. If I try to use IE when Google is running then I have all hell brake lose on my system.

Horny Dude 03-23-2010 12:12 PM

BestXXXPorn 03-23-2010 02:25 PM

Internet Explorer is for people who don't understand that IE is complete fail and doesn't support half of what's out there for web standards... no joke...

Scroll to the bottom: http://a.deveria.com/caniuse/

Also Chrome is the fastest browser with the fastest JS engine on the planet...

Chrome wins on all fronts.

FailFox has the slowest JS engine and all the JS effects are jumpy... They ARE however, reworking their entire JS engine to be based off of webkit/chrome's ... and I do love me some FireBug

Octopus 03-23-2010 02:32 PM

ErectMedia 03-23-2010 03:40 PM

I use firefox for everyday work but I load up Chrome when I play wgt.com as it runs quicker for games and doesn't mess up my shots.

BigRod 03-23-2010 03:55 PM

CYF 03-23-2010 09:25 PM

I prefer firefox for the plugins.

I also use safari and opera on the mac, and all of those plus IE on the netbook.

Odin 03-23-2010 09:45 PM

DiF0r 03-24-2010 02:57 AM

I use FF and love it. I tried chrome out but I don't know it was weird because it was new :) So maybe I should give Chrome a try and use it for a longer time

Sarah_Jayne 03-24-2010 03:54 AM

I am still siding with FF...Chrome hasn't wowed me enough to switch over.
