Taxing the rich more is fucking stupid. Everyone should pay the same amount of taxes. I do not use the roads or hospitals any more then a less wealthy person does, yet I have to pay more for them as a reward for being able to make something of my life and make good money.

Let's get something straight. None of us on this forum work hard.

Working hard involves Chinese sweatshops, oil wells, coal mines and the like.

Many blue collar workers work harder than any of us do.

One thing that I rarely see argued is the need for a class system in America. We need the janitors, the coal mine workers, etc. just as much as we need the guy that gets paid to sit on his ass and think all day.

Most countries cannot can pay their debts, thats not the purpose of debts at all. Debts were made to provide stable long term income to those who lend.

Thats why I love my country, everyone pays 19% tax, no matter if they make $10k a year or $100mil. Thats just fair, the rich person pays more taxes anyway, as he pays them from a higher income.

Ahh but you see, this is not fair at all. My country also has 19% flat tax rate, or you can do 18% up to around $15k and 32% thereafter.

Let me use myself as an example here. Poland is a fairly poor country, and i easily make 20 times what the average person here does monthly (the real average wages here are maybe 1/3rd what they claim they are...). I'm paying 20 times more tax then these people, and driving on the same uneven roads full of holes and using the same doctors and same hospitals. If i got some kind of special treatment, I would be fine with this. However, fact is that if something happens to me and i go to the hospital, I will have to wait in line behind alcoholic bums that stand in front of stores drinking every morning at 7am that do nothing but collect social assistance.

For it to be FAIR for me to pay 20x the tax the average person does, I should either be getting preferencial treatment, my own seperate roads or at the very least i should get some kind of remote control so I dont have to wait at red lights or always have right of way (It's not my problem how this will work logistically, they have people to figure this out). I am worth more to the country, and I should be treated as such :2 cents:

Exactly. If i have to pay 20k more then them in taxes year that is still 20k i would rather have spent on somethng else regardless of how much i made. With the amount of taxes I pay MORE then my alcohol neighbor across the street I could buy a very decent car every year. Yet i apparently owe him something because I work for a living and he crawls home on all 4s every second day at 7 or 8am (I'm not joking either, I gotta film it some time heh). On top of that, come end of the year who is going to get an audit? Me of course, not him. They will send people to my office to make sure I have all the things I wrote off on my company, and try to find any little fucking hole or problem possible to try to milk even more out of me.

Yeah i agree, but there needs to be a balance. I am all for paying a bit more tax, and especially contributing a bit more so we have a good hospital system that anyone can use despite income ... i believe that a healthy population is good for a country. Its an investment of sorts.

BUT the line needs to be drawn somewhere. Eventually if you leech off the wealthy people who have studied for years, or worked hard to get where they are then those people will leave for places that don't have idiotic tax schemes. If someone is stupid enough to drink themselves into a stupor every night then they should eventually be refused treatment. People need to take responsibility for their own actions (or inaction)!!

*IF* we had decent roads and decent hospitals, and decent ANYTHING, I would not mind so much. However, all I can see my tax money going to is to pay people to come audit me so they can juice me for even more. I even got a ticket for not having my invoices written in Polish ($50, but its the principle of the thing. English is an official language here and I only got the ticket so that the auditer can get a bonus as they do for every problem they "find"). To take a ticket to court here costs over $1000 which you have to pay only if you lose, so its not worth risking over $50. They seem to not realize that I am not a little corner store or a farmer, I have no domestic clients and do not need to take their shit. I would leave the country but my gf is an ortodontist and has to work in her field for 3 years before she can transfer her medical license elsewhere, so I have to live with this for at least 1 more year.

Many wealthy people started off as middle class or less. However once they achieve the wealthy status they often do things like move offshore to avoid taxes completely which is a smack in the face to the average tax payer who pays in year in and year out.
