I saw a documentary from 2006 where some Japanese scientists made an invisible coat made of very tiny pearls. The guy using it had a camera behind him that filmed what was behind him and screened that background over the coat. Believe me, the guy disappeared, only his head was visible, I was like "WTF!!!" . The problem they were facing is that they were using a real camera and had to found a way to integrate a reliable micro camera on the suit, but other than that the effect was amazing, and those Japanese dudes are very clever to achieve it. btw, the Japanese guy on the video you posted was one of the theorist they interviewed in that documentary

Yeah, a lot of very science-fictiony tech is in the pipeline. Not only cloaking devices, but soon there will be intelligent androids, full-immersion virtual reality (think holodecks), and nano augmentations for people that will facilitate super-human abilities and virtual immortality. Aging and disease will be a thing of the past, you'll be able to fuck your favorite celeb in your own personal reality simulator as much as you want, and cable tv signals will finally be clear. Well, that last one might be a little too much to hope for, but life will be pretty darn good overall, I expect.

I would spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get VR and nano-aug. I would right now replace my legs completely and one of my arms with robotics, if it was possible.
Would also get upgraded hearing, sight, and upgraded lungs or whatever, lol.

well, I posted about a real device working and I saw it working. It needed more work, but if you saw that you wouldn't believe your eyes.

On a side note, I assume you would be saying Relativity, Heliocentric model, string theory, atoms, big bang, black holes and such are/were plain pathetic? I mean because all of them were just theories that were proven true (in some cases) many years later
