sanyo xacti vs sony bloggie
 

I am in the market for one of those pocket type camcorders. From what I've seen the Sanyo Xacti (vpc-ca9) looks pretty good. There is also the new Sony Bloggie (mhs-cm5). I was just wondering if people who own either one might be able to give some pros on cons on the cameras. They seem pretty similar feature wise.

Sanyo has a cooler, better-looking design in my opinion.

Look at the handle of the thing - it looks like it is more comfortable to hold it in your hand.

Looks like it's more expensive, too.

i have a sanyo xacti, does good quality, very happy with it, i used to have a kodak zi6, which was good also

yeah, i am leaning towards the xacti right now and will probably buy that unless i can find reason not to.

I had an Xacti, same model, last summer and used it in water aswell. If you want I can send you some shots.

I also have an Zacti I bought for my wife. It's great around kids etc you don't need to worry about it getting wet etc.

battery life sucks.

So buy a spare.

I wonder if there is any difference between the sanyo xacti CA9 and the CG10...doesn't seem to be any besides waterproofing from what i can tell.

My mom has a similar Kodak HD camera and for the money, it's a great little gadget.

cool thanks. not sure what the pricing on that will be though. i can get cg10's for 150 bucks right now.
