what are good mailing list scripts
 

I want to send a few thousand emails to my fans what is a good mailing list script .. that .. I could import my mail list and send away .. that is free of cost to send the mail but don't mind paying for the script

Do you know how it does getting around gmail spam filters?

I have no idea how, but for me it appeared to work. I had almost 15k on my mailing list and GMail was usually the one service I could count on it arriving at. Yahoo Mail seemed to be the one that filtered it the most.
How these things work...I'm afraid I don't know but I can tell you as a mailing list, it was pretty rock solid.
Incidentally, most CPanel hosts that have Fantastico installed carry PhpList as a one or two click install, making setup pretty damned simple.
