New "Predators" Sneak Peek / Preview from Rodriguez

I still have hopes that this could be good. What I have seen so far does not dissapoint. :thumbsup

Glad they are doing something different and not going for a remake.

Cooooooooooollll!!!!!!

I would have actually preferred a straight up remake. They could have used The Rock to play Arnold's role.

I'm sure Rodriguez will make his mark in that movie, he'll come up with his very own take and it could be very interesting.

I remember I saw the original Predator in the cinema as a kid, we were three best friends and a buddy of mine was always tall and looked older, so he always got us tickets, we sneaked in for all the action movies that were R15.

It was the hardcore cinematic version with skinned people in it I remember I was shaking when it ended. I guess I was about nine at that time.

Glad I lived through the golden times of the action movie, actually I had to buy me both Predators on DVD two years ago and have to say both are still TOP movies.

Stephen Perkins, who made the Predator 2 with Danny Glover is a very talented director, another movie from him I dig is the "Judgment night".

Remakes are out, fresh looks are in, Star Trek proved that they did a good job not emulating / remaking

Can't wait for this one, especially to see Adrien Brody in such a type of movie is quite interesting to me :thumbsup

Looks like Adrien Brody hit the gym a little. Props.

so this takes place after AVP? i hope its not filmed in the dark and rain like AVP. at the end of AVP the government acquired that zap gun thingy.

this is one im def gonna see when it comes out in the UK

Caligari 03-16-2010 05:38 PM

Yawn. Essentially a remake of the first film which begs the question, Why?
Can't these people come up with a new freaking concept? There are thousands of great science fiction and horror novels to option and they retread Predator?

Sample dialog-
"How do you kill them?" "However you can." :1orglaugh

pornguy 03-16-2010 05:39 PM

that will make my brother happy. he has a 9ft Predator in his house.

Ok it takes place on the Predators homeworld so I'm sure how that is a remake. Also it has Topher Grace as a serial killer. Ok not sure I remember serial killers in the 1st movie.

looks bad ass

look at the trailer, its the same essential thing. they just changed a few details and came out with a new piece of crap.

and yes there was a serial killer in the first one. he was an alien and he hunted humans for sport so they just added a twisted human serial killer to offset the alien serial killer blah blah blah...

Spunky 03-16-2010 06:47 PM

I'll wait for the rental

Other than that it copied basically the entire concept from the first movie and the series. :1orglaugh

Yeah I fucking hate remakes altogether, whether they are spin-offs or whatnot. But I have been saying for a few years that it would have actually been cool to see a remake of the first predator with today's special effects.

ShellyCrash 03-16-2010 10:06 PM

Caligari, Predator films have not exactly been famous for fine dialog. I'd say "How do you kill them?" "However you can." is very much par for the course :winkwink:

And on that note, let's lighten the mood with a little ArnoCorps-

"There's something out there, and it ain't no man"
