webcams - is it easy to show them on a site?
 

if i have a webcam, how easy is it to stream it live to a site?

I think even with today's vast improvements in technology that idea is still very much just a fantasy pipedream.

One thing is for sure, whoever manages to pull it off first will make a lot of money.

Divvy,You need to have someone worthwhile to stream, so it wouldn't really help you much. Second, you need a decent upstream, which again, probably would not help you including a decent server with a large bandwidth with the ability to handle lots viewers needing a high mbps download.

Lagcam, We run private camshows from our members area, so do many solo girl websites.

We were talking about Divvy having a webcam set up within a members area that probably has little content.

Just mentioning that many solo sites do. :thumbsup

I setup a server-push (streaming back in the web 1.0 days) multi-angle webcam system in 1999. Had to buy a secondary parallel port to set it up. Just to mock the 'technology' at the time. Wish I would have worked on actually doing something with it instead of watching the houseplants grow.
