Are talent rates going down?
 

I have received some texts recently from some established MILF talent, saying that their new b/g rate is $600. Is this a trend that you are seeing as well?

At least in LA, talent rates have declined since the heyday in 2006/07 when some agents were demanding $1000-1200 for vanilla b/g scenes. We're back now to $800 being the "standard" rate. But I know of girls getting $900 and $1000, and other girls taking $600 or $700 too.

There were some articles on the LA porn gossip sites about this, a week or two.

But it's whatever the market will bear--I know of a MILF asking for $1000 for b/g, and she gets it.

In the UK, a decent rate for both producer to pay and performer to earn is £350 which is about $500 I think!?

Yep. I shoot for much less than even that per girl.

Plus I can shoot 2-3 girls, 6-10 scenes, for my day/shoot rate. So my margins are killer.

And will probably go down some more. I think you will see girls worth $500 and girls worth $1000 not just a standard rate anymore. Hotter girls will charge more and be able to get it.

I was just going to say that...it is all about the girl...if you are talking about filler content girls then ya I am sure that has gone down, but prime girls always get paid good because they do it and they do it RIGHT...

Although lately I have seen a lot of girls getting paid high fees and they can barely get themselves off in a cam show, let alone look like they are fucking a guy good and hard. I swear some girls sound like they are reading a Q card...Oh YEAH Oh YEAH Oh YEAH...That's it, Right there...Oh YEAH Oh YEAH...LOL

Depends on the girl... I have paid $900 for a local girl and $300 for a local girl.

I'm still seeing 800-900 but no one turns that down
 

Talent solicitations (i.e. I want work) are up, but high quality MILFs (of which there are surprisingly few) seem to still be getting top rates.

We shoot anywhere from 7 to 12 girls every week.

Yes, prices have fallen and will continue to fall for the B and C girls.

The newbies and the stars still command a high rate.

The big differences are the newbies are shoot out in a 2 or 3 months as oppossed to 6 to 8 months like in the past, and the stars only work once or twice a week down from three of four times per week.

I've noticed that not only have rates started to drop somewhat - some girls more so than others, but I've also noticed that another trend seems to be the no more exclusivity. With the exception of course with LA Direct Models.

More and more girls seem to be trying to book jobs on their own and signing on with agents that allow them to make their own deals on the side. I also see more and more girls signing with more than one agency.

i have offered shoots to some of his models at very good same day pay rates which he turned down...
all i can do is make the offer, if they dont agree i just shoot some other models from type 9 or worldmodeling who is much easier to make a reasonable deal with.

But them LA guys what to show just how obnoxiously rich they are (flaunting their wealth) and not really concerned with SAVING any real $$$.....otherwise they would have been shooting in Florida a LONG time ago.....and besides its a west coast/east coast thing....fool.....you wouldnt understand!

yup. granted, i am a new account (within the last year) with them but not only does he not budge, he gouges on 1/2 day rates with b and c list talent,

he's quoted me $700 for 1/2 day solo girl shoots. + full agent fees + driver

Few are paying exclusive or semi exclusive rates. As around. Just about any content shooter who does work for BROgrams will tell you about the insulting rates being offered. Who would offer up exclusive anything for a few crumbs?

I can get b/g amateur talent all day long for much less than you are all paying. We pay the same as we did 3 years ago but we are turning down a lot more girls and picking only the ones that fit best into our program.

I like energy in my talent and our two newest girls have that and more.

Depending what your shooting its not really worth it.

90% of the biz has always been in finding new talent.
Its just come back to that now.

He's always been like that and it worked great for him when every shooter in LA had 5 shoots a week. That is long gone. People dont shoot like they use to. Half of the companies are gone now and there is 3 x the amount of talent there was 6 years ago.

The reality is that the shooter is in control and not the agent....

I dont know what you shoot but hey there are 10 other agency's that will work with you.

he's a freaking idiot, if his girls knew how many jobs and how much money he's cost them.

he quoted JayRock $1600 on a routine Nubiles shoot. a Nubiles shoot is less work for the model than an ATK shoot.

i'm torn b/w these 2 views. is new talent on par (performance-wise) with prime talent? i tend to agree with the 90% is about new talent view but i also think that if the micro-niche is right and produced properly it does not really matter who the girl is.

would love to hear some more thoughts on this.

500/600 here in florida for agency milf bg. but it varies a lot on the hotness factor and demand. i'm actually paying 400 for a solo scene next week on the west coast

Let's face it, MILFs in LA are not working. 600 is better than zero.

yeah i would guess is slightly "less work" but solo videos are often charged at a higher rate.
in any case $1600 is too high and i agree, his models are the ones suffering, i dont understand his reasoning either... my guess is he wants to control the market and i think perhaps the latata group is part of this strategy, had we not had the slowdown the latata would have had much more success to carry the strategy into reality and $1500 standard b/g rates could have been the norm..

I've heard of b/g scenes for even lower than that.
