Yes. Or more commonly the host's nameservers.

I know where your going with this, but to be perfectly honest, i'd rather be working on getting more sales, than admining a DNS server. :2 cents:

Plus there can potentially be reliability advantages to having DNS outside of your host's network depending on how you set things up.
