is there a way to recover wordpress posts via ftp? My account has a disk error, and the web page wont load. I suspect theres a disc problem which is broken but my host isnt around to fix it. I can ftp in, is there a way to recover past wordpress posts? I have about 80 pages worth. It would be a crying shame to loose all that

is the database still functional? No backups?

no backups no, silly me. I dont know what the state of database is as I cant login to whm or anything, just view ftp

Check google/msn/yahoo caches, worst case scenario you can at least rescue the text, and get the proper titles etc to rebuild it.

Before you do any of that though, get a real host to put it back on.

No, you need database access.

If your host allows remote DB connections, you can get either a Windows or Mac database administration tool and connect to the DB using credentials in your wp-config.php file, and export the whole DB from there.
