Those of you that know me, know that I do what I say I will, and that I can be trusted to deliver the truth. This time I am doing that in the form of a new technology platform called Click Truth.

After years working in paid search traffic in this space, and with traffic in general, I have come to the conclusion that there is significantly more value to be wrung out of surfers and traffic overall than most folks are utilizing. This platform seeks to remedy that. By tracking the surfer throughout their entire history on your network of sites, you receive specific and detailed profiles of individual surfers interests and match that against patterns in your overall traffic accumulation. What results is a clear picture of what that surfer is looking for and how best to serve their needs.

The decision engine will tap your content server to recommend the most relevant content / ad / offer / video / cam girl/boy / etc. for that individual surfer. This way you are actually using machine learning algorithms to best utilize the single most granular data on your own network. Data is power; if a surfer is on your network, you should be using that data in real time to better convert all your customers. The more data the decision engine sees, the smarter it becomes, the better able to identify patterns of traffic on your network. By growing smarter it enhances the user experience to one of near individual personal service based on the history of that surfer in your network. If he leaves and visits another site within your network, his profile stays with him, and the engine grows smarter based on the new surfing data he is continuously and anonymously providing you.

There are many other elements to Click Truth that I won't bore you with here, but suffice it to say this was created with you and this space in mind, and I believe helps to address some of the challenges that the industry is currently facing. The platform is malleable and easily adoptable. It is incredibly lightweight, and implementation is no trickier or time consuming than an analytic package. The difference is what Click Truth can do for you with data that you should be gathering and acting upon in real time anyway. With several products available through the platform, I am confident that we can address your individual requirements properly. We are live with a few folks now and seeing great results!

Cool ancillary benefit we didn't anticipate:

Click Truth is witnessing programs apply the user-based profiles to determine when an end-user may cancel his subscription as well. This is incredibly valuable, as clients can send users a targeted offer for a site on their network that they have already shown interest in; but you know they have never visited, because you have their surfing history, preferences, and profile, right at your fingertips. Instead of waiting for them to cancel and then trying to get them back, Click Truth can alert you as a user initiates a cancel pattern; which will then give you a chance to show them something that they have not seen yet, so that you retain them longer.

This does not effect any of the scripts that you have running on your pages now. In a nut shell, this is going to give you very detailed information, and then act upon that information based on parameters that you set. Any other script that you have running is unaffected.

What Click Tale does is study what your surfer does on the page, create heat maps as to where you see the most traffic and report to you on where the "hot" spots are on your site. Left to its own it is a fun tool. It is however an analytic tool not dissimilar from Google analytics or Core Metrics.

Click Truth is not an analytic tool. Click Truth acts! Click truth takes this very same information (information you can get from most thoughtful analytic packages, and information that Click Truth also provides) and through machine learning algorithms recommends the best content, display, ad, offer etc,. etc. to display to your surfer in real time. Click Truth grows smarter based on the history of all surfers on your network, and actually applies that to the surfer you are currently watching. This happens in real time without your having to make any adjustments, or study reports and make decisions.

That is also where Click Tale fails. They (like most analytic packages) require you to have a person / people analyze what you are seeing and then make decisions about your site based on data it reports. That cannot be done in real time. Click Truth gets that surfer to act right then!

Click Tale has taken analytics and made it very snazzy and created several reporting tools. That is their niche. Reporting tools. Click Truth takes this same information and in addition to providing it to you helps to increase conversions by making sure that your surfer continuously sees exactly what brought them to your site and what they have been surfing for previously. Click Truth guides the surfer, instead of just reporting on them.

Other differences:

Click Truth looks at your surfer for 20 years and grows their individual profile over time.

Click Truth is distributed over limitless domains. A very cool feature for adult.

Click Truth follows your surfer across any site within your network and allows you to display ads for them based on that history in real time. It follows them through their entire membership and then onto other sites in your network. The more data you gather the better your chance of converting any surfer.

Click Truth is not just analytics, it uses analytics as a tool and delivers a decision engine to your traffic patterns in real time.

Last two points so that this does not get too long:

Click Truth has the ability to place a display on any page; a join form for example, where someone may be ready to sign up on your site: for example "Hot Blondes.com". Click Truth knows however that your surfer has also shown an affinity for (surfed around on your network for) "FireyRedheads.com" So on the join form you are able to display the most relevant secondary genre, in this case "Redheads" on the join form to increase conversions. Click Truth gathers much more sophisticated data than that, that is an example.


Take a look at the thread up above about canceling as well. This is a cool feature and one that Click Tale cannot do. Click Truth recognizes patterns; a cancel pattern for example, which can allow you to provide your member some content that they have not seen before. Content that you know they have interest in because you have their history right at your fingertips.

Also: Click Tale?? That name is lame, and from what I understand, no one there can hang hang in the pool bar in Curacao. :pimp

In short, fun analytic package. Falls far short of what Click Truth can provide.

Ya know we have a great industry here, fun, innovative, and technically driven. It is important to me that all my clients have done well, but also that the industry does well. If I was involved in the automotive industry I'm sure I would feel the same way. This industry has good people in it, and we work hard. We deserve both our accolades and our condemnation. Best part about Click Truth from the user side is that implementation is negligible:

Click Truth is not a platform requiring a sponsor program to uproot their website(s) and bet the farm on a new infrastructure. Click Truth can be implemented on top of ANY existing infrastructure. Most sponsor programs run sites with different technologies, different layouts, and varying experiences across content mediums and niches. So while Click Truth's profiling insight grows stronger with increased site coverage, implementation remains non-intrusive. From a decision perspective, we're similarly flexible in allowing a sponsor program to determine where they'd most prefer to create customized experiences--again, integrating well with existing web platforms--by matching up the best possible outcomes with the right profile groups determined by our decision engine's machine learning algorithms. Click Truth is a hosted model allowing you to extend profiling and decision coverage into partner and affiliate networks. It would be unrealistic to expect your partners and affiliates to all adopt the same infrastructure as their fellow sponsor program.

Click Truth is solely focused on profile behavior pattern recognition and decision delivery through a light-weight hosted model capable of working with existing infrastructures and partner programs. We will simply create snippets of code on our end and then ask you to place them on your pages. The work is done on our side creating the code.
