So I have a problem with my business partner!

He has been jealous i think because I took over the sites and made them happen.

We had another idea way back to make money and it, as free, became very popular. It was a service for engineers and architects.

I had mentioned about 1 year ago it should be a pay feature... he disagreed. It was not until his wife said you better make some money that he decided to heed my advice from long ago and make it a pay site.

Well, long story short, he, my partner, called me up because people were printing out results from our engineering site and using them as documentation. This put a spark under his ass to finish the pay project. yeah I said... good idea sherlock.

So what he did is program the site so it functions and decided it was his baby. I made every attempt to add suggestions that went nowhere and he released the fuckin site lookin like garbage. His response to me besides "I am not your employee" and "engineers want only functionality" is...

nothing...

I am rolling solo from now on. I am glad I found a new programmer and i think, likely, the best designer in this industry.

From now on it will be me.

Been there and got screwed. You are very right about partners... it's tough unless you know that person inside and out. I will only trust my girlfriend in business again outside of clients and the odd project together with people. It's not that people are inherently bad or anything, it's just that ideas don't always match up and you can fall out over power struggles.

Solo is the best way man.

Not really. I'm laughing at your misuse of business terms.
I understand it's over your head but considering you replaced him with a programmer and there were no assets to split, you weren't business partners, you were a couple of punks playing businessman.

Oh, and "selfdestructive" is foolishly ruining your credit to the point it strangles your childlike attempts at business.:1orglaugh

Just wondering...

22 Years with the same business partner. We wouldn't be where we are at if we didn't click.

Partners are like marriages, They either work or you get fucked. I've been lucky.

Good luck on your solo projects.

What is that saying... all about me program?

What was that movie?

When a business partner lets you do what you're good at without interfering and you leave him at his stuff, then you have a sweet deal! Once you cross that line, its a spiral going down.

i'm done... there is a reason outside of sites we were partners but i've had it...

I am rolling from now on as solo... I do not need a partner. I have plenty of partners... my exwife is somehow my partner, my daughter always my partner, and my new gf is my partner. I will do what I want to do the way I want to do it and no longer will be dragged down.

Too bad you guys don't design sites anymore... if I could afford it, I would of gotten you to do a site or two... but your quality is unmatched, and it's worth it. :thumbsup

lol ... how random. I do actually do sites. Just haven't done an adult site in a while. Concentrated on mainstream. And really, biz has been terribly slow. In fact ... shockingly. I just tend not to mention my site work anymore in adult. If you're really in need of something and are concerned with budget, you can still hit me and we can see if something's workable.

Thanks for the kind words anyways :)
