Need help with MAC laptop- power book

Hi guys,

I needed help and came to GFY first...

A friend just gave me a Mac Powerbook that his sister was using for work. It is 100% legal, it is not stolen, etc...

But it has been a couple years and no one remembers the login user/password.

I am 100% new to Mac... so I don't know what to do?

How can I bypass this? is there an ERD Commander for Mac?

This is a powebook running OS X.

THANKS!

ROCK

boot off an install dvd. you can reset the password from the install dvd. It's one of the utilities.

Just spend the $29 for the upgrade disk and make the computer useful to you. If you can't afford that then you shouldn't be using the PowerBook. :2 cents:
