i had a house and the backyard connected with woods so i had a slight mouse problem and i bought these no kill traps which worked great. they are grey colored rectangular boxes you put cheese or something in, mouse goes inside and the door closes shut, traps mouse live. i dont like kill.

12 pack, an 1/8th of fine herb, and a high velocity pellet gun is all you need.

Mix in random drunk friends as needed.

If you're in the US, replace pellet gun with .410 or 12 Gauge.

Agent 488 03-08-2010 01:54 PM

peanut butter on one of those sticky mouse trap papers.

Put a little peanut butter on the plastic part. By morning you'll have a dead mouse.

Me too. I dont like killing a mouse for making a living. What I do is get an empty pringles can and place it on its side in such a way where its bottom is hanging off short drop. I place it on a pile of books or something similar. Then bait it. What happens is when the mouse gets to the end of the can, the can falls off and falls on its bottom in an upright position. Trapping the mouse deep in the can. You can only use the can for a couple of time as the waxy inside coat wears off from the mouse trying to climb up out of the can.

Same deal as my trap, but the mouse doesn't drown, lol.

raven1083 03-09-2010 04:37 AM

i suggest that you get a cat to do the job

John-ACWM 03-09-2010 04:51 AM

A lot of murderous idea. Save the little sucker's life :1orglaugh

jerryb 03-09-2010 05:21 AM

You put some peanut butter on your pubic hair and then lay on the floor naked. When the mouse crawls up to get the peanut butter you stab it with an ice pick.

Caligari 03-09-2010 07:24 AM

don't use a trap like that. get a sticky mouse trap thing and put the pb on that. once he gets stuck to the glue he can't escape.

diablom 03-09-2010 08:52 AM

I used mouse trap until caught 5 mice, so they all dissappeared from my flat. I got angry when one of them broke my pc cable. So I started a war :)

Just don't get a Persian or Himalayan, I have a house FULL of these cats and not a damn stupid one of them want anything to do with a mouse.

I was sitting here one night and we had set traps for the 3 mice I had under my cabinet. I left the cabinet open hoping the cats would go in and get them. They went in alright, 3 of them..... about 5 minutes later two of them came bolting out of there like they had been shot from a cannon and eyes very wide, breathing heavy....... about a minute later I heard my trap go off........

Guess who didn't get the mouse..... THE DAMN CATS. lol

I use these plastic traps I found in WalMart and put peanut butter in them, or that canned, what I call aerosol, cheese. They have a big red V on them and are an off white color, very easy to set.

I am not big on killing them either, but since they chewed thru one of my electric lines and shorted out half my kitchen, it is them or me at this point. We tried everything to NOT kill them, but living next to a corn field, we are overrun by them in the winter time here.

Supz 03-09-2010 09:30 AM

there are these little plastic ones that look like ' chip clips ' now. They work good in my country house.

tranza 03-09-2010 10:35 AM

Put some poison around.

quiet 03-09-2010 10:43 AM

my kitty *loves* to go after mice. we get the odd one coming inside when the patio door is open in the summers. get's them everytime, parades them around, then drops it right at your feet lol.

ottopottomouse 03-09-2010 11:38 AM

A trap like this, put chocolate in it not cheese. When it's got a mouse in chuck the whole thing in a bucket of water to drown it. Repeat daily until you have caught the whole family.
