GT-Omar 03-07-2010 10:26 PM

That's really cool.

I'm installing on my droid right now.

HandballJim 03-07-2010 10:32 PM

I see texting picking up a lot in the states now, but while in Japan my wife only spoke to her mom on the phone, and all of her other communication with her friends in Japan was via texting. Texting is huge over there, and I hope it does not get as big here.

I prefer emailing people then calling them on the phone...but texting can be a pain in the ass.

FreeHugeMovies 03-07-2010 10:33 PM

Really cool app that works fast. FHM approved.

Meeper 03-07-2010 11:17 PM

Looks cool, i would be interested to see how much it misstypes what you are really "swyping".

Same her in Philippines, everyone communicates by txting, even when you communicate with your lawyer or things like doctors and dentist appointments. I am so happy with my BlackBerry. I couldn't imagine having to do all the texting with touch screen or t9.

Zuzana Designs 03-07-2010 11:27 PM

very cool.

martinsc 03-07-2010 11:44 PM

I just installed it. It's pretty easy to use and a lot faster than texting normal. You can always change your imput method.

tehHinjew 03-08-2010 12:23 AM

the only cool thing for WM

Iron Fist 03-08-2010 01:20 AM

What is a cell phone?

tranza 03-08-2010 09:35 AM

This is very cool.

candyflip 03-08-2010 09:38 AM

I have had Swype on my phone for three days now and it's FUCKING AWESOME.

I can type with one hand on a on screen keyboard faster than I can with two hands on the physical phone keyboard.

Amazing piece of software.

Hardly at all. If it is unsure, it will pop a list of words you might have been trying to type. Touch the one you want and go.

It takes a day to get used to, but I find myself using it more than my slide out keyboard.

Paul&John 03-08-2010 11:43 AM

Hm this actually looks interesting!

Tom_PM 03-08-2010 11:47 AM

Finally, a new way to typo! hehe

I've never texted on anything but a computer.

I actually get less typos. I was just firing off a message to someone a few minutes ago and still can't get over how easy it is and how well this thing figures out what you're trying to type.

I removed all the other software keyboards I had installed on my phone. I would imagine this app will blow up once they take it live for everyone to use.

candyflip 03-08-2010 12:06 PM

Where this is really going to be awesome is when everyone is carrying around their iPads and Android tablet devices.

pornguy 03-08-2010 12:08 PM

Get self drive cars and we are set.

Raf1 03-08-2010 12:15 PM

"that's a bingo!" :)

Serial Pervert 03-08-2010 12:49 PM

amazing! O:

fatfoo 03-08-2010 01:08 PM

Text is a popular way of communicating intellegent thought.

After all, it's what the academic people use a lot of the time.

BlackCrayon 03-08-2010 01:12 PM

i guess it only works on touch screen phones.

It's called SWYPE, what do you expect? :1orglaugh

hypedough 03-08-2010 02:45 PM

Way quicker if you have a touchscreen, but nothing beats an actual keyboard. :thumbsup

Semi-Retired-Dave 03-08-2010 04:16 PM

Apple will sue them soon for stealing their patent. :1orglaugh
Pretty cool, but I'm getting tired of all these new phones.

Can't I just get my old phone back.

im not sure what the name has to do with it? either way, i thought only a small % have these touch screen phones currently. i know i won't be buying one for at least another 2 years.

Pandoras 03-08-2010 04:52 PM

I think the old way its still pretty cool for me

After spending another day using just the Swype keyboard, I can now use one hand on the touchscreen to type faster than I can with the physical keyboard.

I ONLY used the hardware keyboard, but this has changed that...at least until something better comes along.

Naechy 03-09-2010 06:38 AM

swype is something really fresh

ShellyCrash 03-09-2010 07:33 AM

I might pick that up next time I upgrade my phone. Right now I'm rocking the g1 which has the full keyboard, but from what I've seen it's the only Android out that has a full keyboard and all the newer designs are all 100% touch screen.

DiF0r 03-09-2010 07:37 AM

looks cool

TurboAngel 03-09-2010 07:38 AM

I hate the whole texting thing. Might need too look into this.

Both the Motorola Droid and Cliq have keyboards and so does the Samsung Moment.

I've got the Moment. Check this out, you can get it now. You might find yourself NOT flipping out that keyboard as much.

I had a black one of those back in the 80's. Had to drive 200 miles to go and pick it up as well! :)

Each day using this keyboard on my phone is better than the last. I can type like a madman with one hand. I'm VERY impressed.
