Damn Neighbors
 

Do you think it's bad if I get a little revenge on the people that walk thru my yard every day? There's a walking trail in the park behind my house and they use my yard to access it.

I don't want to be that angry prude guy in the neighborhood but they turn my grass into mud after a big rain or snow, there's always several bicycle and baby stroller tracks per day, the skateboarders have left permanent marks in the walkway to my door, a motorcycle came thru one night and a 4-door Nissan Sentra drove up one side of my yard and came out the other. My Neighbors say they see about 50 people per day during the summer passing thru here.

I was thinking maybe a motion sensitive garden sprinkler and then hook up the motion detection security cam I have to take their picture as they get wet and run away... just for laughs.

Putting up a fence would block the view so I really don't want to do that.

Do you think if you spray some punk kids with that thing they are not coming back at night and taking it?

Maybe get some slate / flagstone / etc and make a walkway?

I know that may sound like a bitch out solution, but like what DBS.US is getting at, you don't want to fuck w/ kids. They've got nothing but time on their hands to try and get as it escallates you've got alot more to lose. Kids won't get in real trouble but you could.

EXACTLY what is going to happen lol. You will turn into the "asshole-guy-that-lives-on-the-path" and have to keep coming up with new tricks to get ride of them which they will easily get past just to toy with you and cause you much more trouble in the meantime. Can't you get the city involved if it's being trafficked so much even with cars and shit?

I live at the beach and most people here have the same problems. Most put up a nice 3' fence. Try putting in a few big rocks and plants to stop the cars.

Last year I thought about setting up a turnstile and then charging daily fees and selling season passes but that's probably illegal.

The only real solution is to just put up a fence which I don't want to do.
