Mac OS X VLC users - 64 bit update
Lunettes is a 64-bit rewrite/update of the VLC project for Snow Leopard

what do you get with it more than with VLC?
Better memory management and cache I suppose. Some users noticed the previous 32-bit version stutter a bit with Snow Leopard. It's styled more for the Mac now, and you can edit the look with css, etc.

Ooooh nice, I gave up on VLC player once I started using Boxee :P So much better than VLC...
I haven't used Boxee. I'll have to check that one out. I use VLC to view movies and listen to my mp3s.
Oh definitely, it's the only thing that can accurately play MKVs with subtitles as well... I used to use it exclusively but after I started using Boxee I was hooked... I really like being able to have a queue for movies that includes my Netflix account, Crunchy Roll (I watch one show but still like to queue it), local media files, etc... all in one place. One click access to login to any service and start streaming is awesome :D
