                                              I still can't believe that people in our own industry wanted revenge and called the authorities in to investigate this. It was a dead issue until now.

                                              This definitely ain't a good thing for anybody. No matter the outcome, the media will make this sound like all of us are bad guys.

                                              And even if DirtyD is found "innocent", it won't matter. He is ruined. And our business will get a further black eye. And the stupid 2257 laws will be re-written again to make it even harder for honest people to make a living in adult.

                                              This is a lose/lose for everybody in this business.

                                                          You're right. Which kinda goes to show what has happened to GFY. I've said it over and over...8 years ago it was okay to have this forum wide open. Now? It needs to be shut down to the general public.

                                                          This is the result of our business being open to outsiders and they get caught up in the drama, learn some terminology over the years, and then think they are in this business.

                                                          I think in 2010 it is time to make GFY an industry only board. I know 90% of the people who are friends of mine in this business will NOT post on here because they are afraid of having their livelihood damaged.

                                                          Look at how many businesses have already suffered from having a presence here. Hell, if you think about it, there are only a couple of dozen programs that will post anything here anymore. This is supposed to be the place where the industry meets. But it sure has become a place where the industry gets destroyed.

                                                          Things would be a lot different if it was industry only and NO nicks...just real names and businesses.

                                                          How many times over the last couple of years have we seen people come on here and say that they are going to take down the adult industry? And they start writing letters to every agency under the sun. Why do we facilitate our own demise?

                                                                                                                                      As for the second part, I was referring to stickyfingerz popping up into threads saying that Kelsey had been after D for years and that it probably wasn't fmltube. The only thing that didn't make sense about "Kelsey being after him for years" was that all she had to do was pick up a phone and call the authorities.

                                                                                                                                      Perhaps Kelsey was after him and it does sound like stickyfingerz knew more about the situation than most, but I always suspected the timing since it all went down shortly after that epic thread and fmltube saying she was/did turn him in.

                                                                                                                                              Perhaps a different solution to achieve the same thing would be to have it so that Eric continues to clean house and new people that want to get on board have to be vouched for by an established member.

I did it from addresses tied to my sites, did it a few times and my account was never activated. I lurked for a long time, unable to post. One day, I really wanted to post about something and sent an ICQ to someone else here who got in touch with Eric, who instantly approved me.

I don?t know what Florida?s law is regarding this type of stuff. In a lot of states it woulden't matter except when it comes to the sentencing phase. This type of issue comes up a lot in age of consent cases where the girl tells the guy she is legal to have sex with, but then after the deed is over he finds out she isn?t and sometime later angry parents turn him in to the law for popping their daughter?s cherry. Guess who usually gets fucked in a case like that? Hint it isn't the girl that lied about her age.

If he didn't then as always he should be considered innocent until proven guilty. Personally I think he's the role model for the typical sleaze that people stereo type all of adult as.

I'm a member there but not a regular. I can only keep my five boards ... otherwise I'd get too sucked in (more than I already am) and spend my day doing that and nothing else. It's a great board, it's just the the others I pay attention to are more geared to what I sell.

                                                                                                                                                                                              As for the rules, it has always been my understanding that initials are OK...they just don't want link juice or blatant naming of them. It's a good mix ... they acknowledge that they're other boards without being nazis and we can point each other to relevant information ... this being a good example.
