Did anyone here get Battlefield: Bad Company 2?

Mine keeps saying...

The game needs to access the internet in order to verify ownership of this game. Please ensure that your computer is online and try again.
Well, if I wasnt on the fucking internet then I couldnt be here posting this. Already spent a couple of hours browsing the EA 'support' forums and google for a solution, nothing works. Like I have nothing but free fucking time to search to make a game work that I paid for and should just fucking work in the first place.

Anyone else have this problem?

I only got 10 copies and sold them all pretty quick. I ordered another 10 for next week.

I take it this is the PC version you're referring to? Most of these games will require online connections to verify ownership. It's the new their new DRM.

try restarting steam or your computer or disabling all firewlals

Should have just gone to the store and bought a hard copy. :2 cents:

I've had some weird issues with direct2drive with other games.

They have a support forum on their site that may help. Also, the PC game forum for BFBC2 on Gamespot.com might help.

shoulda just bought it off steam

Mine plays fine as well. Hope a system reboot did the trick!

BFBC2 was a mainstream ploy to try and bring down the CoD franchise. They made the game graphic intensive, blatantly took elements from other games that aren't the tradition of BF (fucked aim if you're being shot at...) and left out important facets that actually make a decent FPS (HI GUYS I WOULD LIKE TO PRONE TO CREATE A GAME WHERE PRO MOVEMENT WAS POSSIBLE).

I played the demo, it was terrible. I haven't purchased the full game and I don't plan to - BFBC2 is an insult to anyone who actually plays games for more than 1 hour a year.

Well thanks, that makes me feel a lot better about not being able to play a game that I paid for and cant get any technical support on.
