Whats a great online business to build and then sell?

I want to build a mainstream business for maybe the next 10 years and build it up and sell it.
I made money with a blog and sold it but I learned that blogs are not good for selling because (a corporate) buyer doesn't want to maintain the posts. Its like selling a job to someone.
So what else is there to build up and then sell?

Im thinking of a store and/or a personals site. would love feedback on this.

Well, I would say a kick-ass amateur network of 18+ websites. Heh heh - anyone buyin'? Hell-o-o-o?

Tough one. Maybe a dating site.

Really anything Web 2.0 that drives itself. If your content is driven by your traffic a corporate buyer just needs to sell ad space.

Sell products for people to want to decrease or increase their penis size.

thanks, but what does that mean?
A site updated by user submitted content? Communities that grow on their own? a blog that auto updates?

Everyone is into Web 2.0 and social networks now...

Sit down and try to come up with Web 3.0, as Web 2.0 is already over-done...

OR think old-school. Everyone wants to create the next high-tech wonder, and meanwhile nobody wants to work to invest in low-tech anymore, which can become a chance, as there is less competition.

Look at Germany for example. All countries are trying to come up with the next microchip, and nobody wants to produce boring things like heavy machinery, tankers, etc. anymore. Too low tech? May be, but definitely one of the reasons we are doing even during the world crisis not as bad as some of the other high-tech nations...

There are lots of low-tech services on the Internet for sure that nobody likes catering to, I am sure.

Just my 2 cents.
Andreas

P.S.: I will try to start some low-tech things on the Internet this year (not related to adult) just to try it out. I will keep you posted on how good or bad it goes...
