Does anyone know of any good article directories that allow adult content?

I don't know. Try to search for some in google, or other search engines.

Also, look in the "GFY traffic trading forum" - sometimes people post threads with directories of some kind.

Most don't but there's huge lists you can mine. It would just be a numbers game since quite a % just publish articles with minimal editorial checking. It also would depend on how explicit your keywords and/or domain are.
