StraightDownTheTubes Design...keep it or kill it?
 

I am having 2nd thought about the www.************************* design and am thinking about having it redone.

What do the people say, keep it or kill it?

kill it, i bet productivity is horrible.

go with more traditional tube design.

its the name that needs a change design is ok.

100% Kill it. I would wager bounce rate is >60% It's a fundamentally bad design for a handful of reasons.... looks too much like a paysite.. all content below the fold etc etc..

I think the design is fine. I do think you should get a new domain name though.

I would suggest doing a redesign and also selecting a shorter tube domain

I'd at least tweak it. The header is huge and pretty busy - logo gets lost. I'd also move the email capture out of the footer and put it up the page in the right column to get more juice out of your list building.

The big header is lame you are hiding the content
The site logos are lame No one has heard of these sites.
The domain is way to long and the joke is lost on the surfers ( YOUR Audience )

loved the domain and the content but hated the design from jump. change it now before it's really branded :2 cents:




















p.s. no poop brown anywhere on the site, it reminds me of straight down the pooper tube with that color in the word tube *giggles*

Give it more time, can you add more black videos

Kill the header, it detracts from the overall design and pushes what ppl came to the site looking for way to far down the page.

i would tweak the current design, not keep it or kill it.

in particular-

smaller header, similar showcasing, just smaller. i would also incorporate a tagline s.a. *check out all these sites you get for free*

much smaller category tabs/font, maybe even show categories here

i would make the *today's exclusive video* show an actual screenshot instead of the tube logo.

i think the ads on the side are too big in relation to the clip screen shots.
the specifics of each scene is in too big of font. as you scroll past the ads, the site looks off kilter since the ad space is still taking up space next to the tube screen shots but there are no ads, that's prime space there eh.

there's no reason listed for getting the free membership to the tube

the premium partners area looks weak, i'd make it look full, i.e. no *partner link here* shizz

the 3 sex search ads across the bottom look cheesy also, esp. since they are all the same ad.

the ad copy you have at the bottom should be at the top.

i think there should also be a schedule showing what's upcoming.

It looks ok imho. Yes, the domain doesn't sit right with me either. But it's your baby, in the end, you will do the right thing i bet :)

Great content, graphics are too heavy for a tube site. Keep it simple and Straight to the point. They are there for your content, not for you to show off your design.

Start fresh with an easier domain. Just let me know the name change, I was getting used to this one and now it's going straight down the tubes.

for css changes only or taking an exsisting psd and getting it made into xhtml and css take mr.wilson, hes a member on gfy and posts here frequently in the buy&sell section.

not bad design, but in hands can do way better

simple sells, what is not important to the surfer do not show, potential is there big time, but id scrap the whole design, when you have a design that webmasters screm that its too plain, thats when you will know that u have a true winner
