Deleting my emails from my iphone? Wiping?

I am selling my iphone and dont want any trace of my emails left on it, I removed my email account from the phone and nothing shows up but I am sure it still exists somewhere on the harddrive and who knows how many hands my phone will pass through in its lifespam. Anyone know if removing the account deletes all the emails? Is there a better way?

if you are selling then wipe the phone completely back to "factory mode"

Then take your pick.

Delete all that and let the new owner worry about what apps the want on it. Feel secure.

Don't delete all that shit. Sell your phone. And worry that someone else might be reading your emails.

Seems like a simple decision to me.

Well i removed the email account, are the emails still stored on the phone somewhere? There were over 50,000 messages synced from my gmail lol so not sure.

If you do a factory reset through iTunes, you should be ok. I just sold an iPhone to a buddy and I wiped it clean prior. Wasn't able to find anything after wiping to suggest the emails were still there. There was no trace (visable to me) that I had owned the phone.

if you search keyword wipe in the itunes store you'll find a couple apps that will wipe your drives free space.
