Anyone here have any success with erotica (erotic writing sites)?

Has anyone here had any success with erotica or erotic writing sites?

I'm curious what it would do for SEO, and how would you go about monetizing something like that? Wondering if a site like this might have to survive entirely on donations due to Sponsor's TOS's like asstr does.

Also what if you were to slant away from the erotica towards something more like Hubert Selby Jr. (or even the Marquis De Sade - not considering him erotica for a moment). I'm thinking like underground publications that wouldn't make it on front bookshelves in mainstream but not not be entirely focused on sex (like hollywood between or "behind" the lines LOL - but seriously).

Just wondering if anyone knows of smaller, blog style publications that used to be like the printed literary pulp mags of old that is doing anything financially...

I think this post might have come out more like an unfocused brain fart unfocused so apologies. Maybe someone can catch my drift and dump a link if there's anything like this around.

Unless you are doing an erotic stories site in a tight niche like cuckold etc. you will find it extremely difficult to compete with established free sites like Literotica and Asstr.org.

Prepare to make millions. Fact.

I tried with a text blog. Wrote about 10k words in total. The site receives literally no hits.

That being said, Literotica has a higher Alexia ranking than Brazzers. I also don't know of any erotic literature paysites (I was considering making one at some point)

I was actually thinking of taking it one step further and going with just one story line with spin offs, sequels, prequels, etc. Like I said this is probably just a brain fart, but I sort of got on the writing kick again, and I've sold a couple screenplays in the past and got a couple turned into movies straight to video (all mainstream low budget stuff), but I have an idea that's killing me (might even be good for merchandising) and some free time to work it out since things are clicking okay for me and at least covering my bills even when they are less than okay.

Hey any idea why literotica seems to use sponsors and toplists, links whatever, but asstr seems to need donations (at least form what I remember)... I used to actually visit asstr before I had even heard of literotica.

Just sell the stories.

I have a stories site, getting more than 10 000 daily uniques, most of it from SEs for premium keywords ... but this is one of the most complicated traffic to turn into sales I have ever had.
