alternative to paypal? (accepting payments)
 

What's the best way for to accept money for contract work? I don't particularly like paypal. In the future I would also like to accept payments online for the scripts I am writing. I would prefer something with as little red tape as possible. I don't want to set up merchant accounts or have to tie it to one of my banking accounts. Also want it to show my business name not my real name but don't want to set up a corporation just to have that show up.

You seriously need to consider Paypal, they are the market leader for many good reasons.

When considering Moneybookers, do take into account that they have many limitations in how to send money from European Moneybooker accounts to American accounts. Usually they don't even allow it and you have to fiddle a lot to make it go through. Not many customers like that kind of hassle.

I don't particularly like Alertpay, they are very much like Paypal only with fewer users. But if your goal is to avoid Paypal for any one reason, you could try Alertpay.

With you not accepting PayPal and the anonymity limitations you want, I don't think you will go very far in the online biz mate.:2 cents:

Epassporte, bank wire are the best besides the idiots at Paypal.

I have a paypal but I've had people say it doesn't work in their country. I'll check out epassporte.
