Got the following email from ibill a few minutes ago..... i'm all kinds of confused, and the ibill monkeys don't know shit about it....... ALSO: Does anybody know of a stand-alone web900 processor? I'm sick of ibills excuses on the web900 shit.....

I got the same email.
IBILL is really a company you DON't want to work with.
They have a way to fuck everything up bad.

Go for Globill. They can handle there emails! You will be a winner allready!

p1mpdogg 12-23-2002 08:15 PM

I got the same email.. and in my email i got it has my old address and payment info.. so i went update my account.. and it has the right info lol..

Thank god I only process my rebills with them and stopped letting them fuck me about 5 months ago.

:thumbsup ibill

[Labret] 12-23-2002 08:17 PM

ok, question.

Is this going to effect the identifier they made us come up with? So instead of on someones statement it says "ibill*identifier" (I know thats not the correct format but you get the drift), will it now say "iBill*myName*. As I use ACH, I dont have them wire into a business account, they ach directly into my checking account. And I sure as fuck dont want every joe pervert who joins one of my sites having my name.

This is confusing. I know emailing them wont do. They must be up to their fucking eyeballs in EU newb hatemail.

PerfectionGirls 12-23-2002 08:25 PM

Sean at ccbill! Great guy.. always answers the phone and goes out of his way to help. His extention is 158

Best rep I have ever had.

robfantasy 12-23-2002 08:29 PM

sean at epoch is a good guy, sign up with epoch they take care of you.

WiredGuy 12-23-2002 08:33 PM

It's a shame to hear that iBill's operations have become this bad that so many paysite owners are refusing to work with them. They really need to get their act together to keep their head above water.

WG

BJ 12-23-2002 08:44 PM

well, hers a simple solution... as I read that it does seem in fact that the name on the customer credit card bill, must match the name on your bank account.

You can either:

1) add a sub account at your bank with that name for the deposit of funds.

2) add alternate names for your existing account. I have 1 account for example that receives money under several different names which my bank just added to the account.

wires are based on beneficiary's and theres no reason why you shouldnt be able to have a single account with several different names.

wouncie 12-23-2002 08:50 PM

Is this just for ibill affiliate clients or what.
Ibill got me confused as hell.
Rebill only in the 2003!:ak47:

When I go to the sponsored merchant area I can't find anything that shows my existing wire info although I do receive wires.

And if I actually had to change anything at the bank they are closed anyways until the 27th!

Ibill if you are watching, there is just no excuse for this one. You should have made sure everyone was taken care of before the holidays, and then dropped any gems on us in January after Internext. The last thing you are going to need is 100's of disgruntled clients telling stories there.

BJ 12-23-2002 08:51 PM

I like how they send the email now, and expect you to have it done by the 26th.

may be a sign of a deeper issue they are having

[Labret] 12-23-2002 09:14 PM

my information doesnt match, and can I remember my login info? No. Think iBill will respond by the 26th? Uhm, doubtful. Looks like my Jan 1 ACH will be bouncing back.

directfiesta 12-23-2002 09:16 PM

rumors ( lol ) are that Ibill is studying a change of name: Rebill....

:BangBang:

thats all I do now with them... Globill has 70%the rest, Paypal a bit and paysystems the rest....

WG

We are moving operations off to Epoch PSW & CCbill and heard some rather in the know people saying Ibill might not be around in 6-12 months.

Who knows thats just a rumour but the way Ibill is going and how I currently feel about there service and support I'm not taking any chances.

I tried to setup some new sites as I hadn't set any new ones up with Ibill for 2 years I there whole system had changed. I phoned them up they said "Ohh you want new sub accounts just log into your CMI and do it yourself, ok bye" , I sent letter after letter asking for instructions on howto setup the Ibill password files and shit. No response.

Oh well they can have my recurring till its dead and then no more.

Epoch here I come

Got the same mail, went to admin area and there's no "account name" field. There's fields for addresses, account numbers, zip codes, whatever, but again: NO ACCOUNT NAME field. And that's one of the fields supposed to be changed. btw, you must go to your bank blah blah blah BEFORE 26th DECEMBER. Mail sent on 24th December, 25th is holiday... guess whose clients won't be paid this month? :ak47:

[Labret] 12-23-2002 09:45 PM

Did we all forget what happened at Epoch a few years ago?

to my understanding.. they had a really good excuse for that problem.. I realize there shouldnt be any excuse for not getting paid.. but when some foreign fuckers run off with 30 million of my money.. you can bet your ass bills wont be paid. Ask an epoch rep the story.. its public record from what i understand.

[Labret] 12-23-2002 09:53 PM

I remember when it was "fuck iBill, DMR rules".

I already tested Glo-bill for some 2 weeks but ...
1) My sign-ups dropped significantly
2) I cannot offer my $2.95 trial with them
3) Are they paying now in time??

quiet 12-24-2002 12:26 AM

yup, i login and there is no wire information there at all. it's all blank.

i can't get to my bank by the 26th (and neither can most i would think). it's really pretty damn funny.

'Hi, it's the 23rd - please make changes following the vague instructions in this email, and be sure they are completed by by the 26th or your fucked'

quiet 12-24-2002 12:30 AM

apparently a gift basket arrived at my office today. guess who it's from?

ibill. hehe.

andi_germany 12-24-2002 01:47 AM

Well I login to the merchantinfo and I find a link Update Bank Information. I click on it and come right back to the login screen. That of course works very well.

I think IBill is in a shitload of trouble and running stunts like this might just be them preparing to stop paying and run.

'Well you haven't updated the info, it's only your fault you won't get paid'

The matter is public record, and yes we got screwed BADLY, but we paid back this money to the webmasters.

You can read about some of the latest developements on this thread

PornoBug 12-24-2002 03:42 PM

Even though I dumped Ibill before the VISA regs took effect Ibill still owe me this months payment (which is just reserves)

Ibill also owe me a few hundred dollars in transactions that didnt appear on my October statement because of some "accounting error"

7 emails and several phone calls about my missing December payment have resulted in iBill delaying and having me play email and telephone tag.

Anyone who wants a processor that will fuck you around, not pay you on time, not pay you at all in some instances and who refuses to deal properly with you will be very happy with iBill. God help them if they ever set foot in Australia because the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) would have their directors assess in jail.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

:1orglaugh

From what I have heard they have already been to AU quite a bit, seems there is a very good market for customer email lists over there.

andi_germany 12-24-2002 04:57 PM

I think Epoch and CCBill are cheering behind the sceenes how badly IBill is fucking up. Countless post here prove that IBill simply is no longer an option on the billing market.

How long will their rebills last to stay in business?

Nautilus 12-24-2002 05:37 PM

This thing is troubling as hell.

I really wish to believe it's just a coincidence, but... One has to be be completely dumb to send people into their banks on Christmass and think they may come back with something.

Anyone with the scoop on what's going on? Are they short on money?

I think that this is what the issue is here. My guess is that everyone whos DBA name does not match their bank info did not receive a wire except for a few special exceptions.

We were actually told in writing that we did not necessarily have to have a dba match on an account receiving wires.

So now we have to open a new account on Christmas day to be able to receive our wire for the next period, which would include the wire they have not paid us for the last pay period. Well that just can't happen.

Ibill told a lot of people that we wouldn't have to jump through any hoops to deal with them, so we stayed on. But here we are on Christmas eve, stiffed of our last payment and unable to comply with yet another indecipherable email demand.

quiet 12-24-2002 06:12 PM

i wonder if it's possible to switch your sponored merchant name to the name that is under your bank account (rather than changing the name associated with your bank account to your sponsored merchant name).

who knows.

I think that this is not possible without going through the IPSP application process again. Anyways there is no one listening at Ibill to change it. I could get a new account too, but just not today.

My present account is in my name and I would prefer to not have that on anyone's receipt.

quite possibly. however if you look at address information after you login to the merchant account area - you'll see there is both a 'Merchant Name', and a 'Merchant DBA'. if you click the definitions it looks like the DBA is used as the descriptor, and that the Merchant Name is allowed to be different.

But like you said:

you may have to apply all over again to change the merchant name
no one is home at ibill anyway

:glugglug

Nautilus 12-24-2002 07:12 PM

They have an annoying bug that defaults "Accept VISA" to "No" for the modified subaccount, I wonder if something like that will happen if you changed your sponsored merchant info.

Trying to experiment is kinda unnerving when "no one is home" to help you if something went wrong. Not that they're of big help when they are home anyway...

NETbilling 12-24-2002 09:22 PM

2) I doubt this is true. I had a $2.95 trial for several years, though I just changed it to $4.95 (and just as many sign-ups for the trial, BTW).
3) When have they NOT paid on time?

As for 3), they had an unavoidable one-time disruption when they moved their banking offshore. Otherwise, they have paid like clockwork for several years now.

1) Never had a problem with charge-backs ... almost zero, no matter which processor.
2) It's possible but for very cheap trials they are charging something like 60%
3) I meant that (hopefully) one-time problem

I heard that people are joining more willingly when you use big, famous processor like Ibill or Ccbill.
