My buddies run a security service for local bars. Any ID that they suspect might be fake is scanned or not allowed.

Most of the high end clubs have scanners anyhow. Try putting a fake past one of those.

good fake IDs work every time. Most scanners verify if the strip on the back of the card matches to the birth year - I had one. It gets the bad IDs out but kids these days arn't stupid. It's easy to produce fake IDs that will pass those scanners. They add their birth date, name and an address to a fake card now on the electronic strip. It passes even the better scanners. The only way to get past that is direct access to the driver's licence mainframe and they won't allow club or security companies here to do that.

I had the Liqueur commission come by once as they know of over 50 fake IDs minors were using in my city that had working electronic strips on them and they were looking for leads to find the guy making them to shut him down. I don't think they ever found or caught him.

People produce good fake IDs for about $50. They have the magnetic strip on the back. They pass the ID scanners for age. Unless you're a cop or government worker with access to the driver's license mainframe - you're going to get fooled.

Shit found out later one REGULAR of my bar had TWO different fake IDs and my guard had even verified BOTH of them, and one had the electronic strip on it. we did due diligence on her, as did every other bar and restruant in the city. She had been clubbing since 16. Fuck was I pissed when later she posted her 18th birthday party on facebook.

Maybe this is the case where you live. In New York State, they've gotten a pretty good handle on license forgeries and keeping minors out of bars. With that and the smoking ban, the bar business is all but dead here.

You're always going to have someone slip through the cracks. And I'd bet dollars to donuts that someone looked the other way and knew what was up, as opposed to them having a good forgery.

no bar wants a minor inside. you can get your license suspended for a week or more if you get caught. no minor is worth that risk. 2nd offense you loose your license. The unreal part is the law says you're responsible and punishable EVEN if you do due diligence.

I wonder if Cuba is feasible. I have heard as an american you can sneak in if you go through Canada. Maybe he can go there direct from Spain.

Cuba is such a fucking tease. I would love to visit it someday. Seen the shores of it a few times by boat, but as an american haven't been able to set foot on it. :(

Nice and cheap. You should check it out. Go to Cancun and book Cubana at any hotel.
Its like 10-15 bucks in top bed and breakfast hotel. beach is really nice as well.
