Do americans use .US domain name extension?

Do you use it? Would it make you think the site is more local?

 I don't think I've ever seen one.

Don't use it and makes me wonder about the people running the business when I see it. .com is king when doing B2C.

 Only spammers... :winkwink:

Actually, I have 2 .us domains. One as my main business domain cause as it happens the .com was taken. The second I use a person dump for family and friends. Neither domain is really meant to be "found" or used unless your linked directly to it so it works out fine for me.

When I see a link to a .US domain, I think it's most likely one of two things: spam, or a very small business. It does nothing to feel "more local," for me at least.

I have one or two .us domains and they just link to the .com.

I've dropped almost all of mine last year, no traffic what so ever. The only .US sites that actually are known are some designer and script sites (e.g. scriptalicious)

I had one in 1996. That was the last time.
