whole house water filter systems
who's got one?
experiences? advice? roi? |
roi? Why do you say that?
You mean you can make a return on investment, if you buy this house water filter system? Why is that? You would be able to sell the house at a higher price? |
fatfoo: hard water>appliances wear out faster.....

Are you talking about a whole house water purification or just a filter?
For filters if you have a lot of sediment I recently had a plumber swear by this thing: http://www.alivewaterstore.com/produ...italizer%20VWR I just ordered one so I'll let you know how it works once I install it :) |
We have a reverse osmosis drinking water filter, its only in the kitchen though. Saves us about $6 a day in bottled water. The rest of the house just has a softener as the lime scale here is pretty intense.
Also we use the filtered water in ways we would not of before, making tea, cooking veggies etc. So all in all its great. You can really notice a major difference in smell if you put a glass of the filtered water and regular tap water together. Tap water stinks. |
