I'd heard of her so much just from boards and tv drivel that I went to youtube a few weeks ago and heard one of her songs for the first time start to finish. Didnt hear anything special. But the video was one giant montage of her pictures looking outrageous and partying out on the town. Thats what it's all about these days it seems.

I've said that about quite a few "entertainers" over the years (Amy Winehouse, Kanye, etc.) and, although not in full force, they are still around. Unfortunately, I think the best that you can hope for is that the media gets bored and tones it down a bit.

Lady Gaga is an amazing singer.

You can find videos of someone being "off" when they perform as much as she does.

Go look at her older shit before her label transformed her.

The reality is that the Gaga that was singing pretty songs at coffee houses does not sell millions of records. The Gaga that she created does.

She's an entertainer and an entrepreneur that is following the money. I think anybody that owns a business would have a difficult time faulting her for that.

Entertainers are nothing anymore unless they can insert themselves into the mainstream news cycle.

No clue why all the hate. Gaga has imagination & looks good at specific angles. & she writes good songs unlike avril lavine & jessica simpson, who i'd rather see naked then sing.

In all fairness, in the performances I saw she looked (and sounded) completely wasted almost to the point of being incoherent and quite often off key. So perhaps I just saw a few bad performances. All I know is that they were torturous.

When you watch this video, you just can't deny the lady has talent. I can see why she created the funky persona....maybe she thought the world didn't need another Nora Jones.

When she was a teenager, she was an outcast. She grew up on the upper east side in a well to do family and was always the awkward artsy kid that just didn't fit in. She was a loner in a world she didn't feel like she belonged in.

Her message to her fans is come as you are. All of the social outcasts love her because she is who she wants to be and doesn't care what people think about it. That's why she calls her fans her "little monsters" ... because they're pretty, ugly, skinny, fat, "normal," "crazy" and everything in between.

When she was just Stefani, before the Lady Gaga, she found comfort and acceptance in the New York underground art scene.

What many do not realize is that she is behind her image 100%. She designs all of her own outfits, she does most set designs, etc.

She is 100% in control of her image.

The rumor going around now -- and I believe it -- is that she's burning out. She knows that to stay relevant she has to stay public, so she's trying to do too many shows, too many interviews, too many appearances and she's busy designing her shows from start to finish...feeling the need to make each one different...different props, different costumes, different set lists, etc.

There is probably nobody in show business that works as hard as she does.
