The only way we'll ever get a higher medal count than America is if we magically increase our population by about 50,000,000. Or more.

The Canadian Olympic committee must have been delusional to think that a country of 33 million could "own the podium". Maybe if results were based per capita then there might have been a chance.

Likewise anyone thinking Canada was a shoe in, or even the favourite for hockey gold is somewhat delusional too. They've got a chance but no more so than Russia.
