I dont have clients that need them right now which is a damn shame most of my clients want girls that can perform well and have a little experience or they want only smoking hot girls that are penthouse cover worthy. I have lots of fresh girls that have never done porn and want to start immediately. I need some clients that are ordering these type of girls we can shoot them a couple of times and then send them back home without sending them to the other LA companies. I get emails every day about girls that want to come to LA but I can't offer them alot of shoots. I tried sending girls to other companies for referral fees once I got them here but thats a joke when they end up trying to keep the girl or promise the girl payroll and never pay. (you know who you are) Also pretty much anyone that did pay a referral fee for models I found booked the model and flew them back out without letting me know. I even brought girls into Hustler and all they did was say thanks and booked the models several times after. Im not going to do that anymore its either I have people that need them or I don't. These other LA companies that don't recruit can kiss my ass LOL. So if fresh girls is something you need let me know. (Im not interested in sending them to other shooters) Below are some thumbs of emails I have recieved this month only.

Trust me dude if I have the cash they would be here. When I was shooting for lots of companies in 06-07 I was getting the newbies like crazy. I has so much work I didnt even have to get them approved. I could shoot them on speculation and always could sell the scenes/ content easily. I had the cash in hand and I knew I could sell the content. It was really easy then. Now I can only offer them a couple of shoots.

You should build an amateur audition site. Fuck every one of them on film to test them out with no pay involved. Use the footage to find a client that would want a paid shoot AND to start Jay Rock's Amateur Audition series.

i have the same - there are a lot of girls out there, nice amateur girls - not amazing enough for solo sites but great for amateur hardcore and solo work.

You shoot a scene for someone else, you get paid once. You shoot a scene for yourself, you get paid pretty much forever.

I'm not understanding your logic here. Just so I'm clear..... if you had another shooter, that wasn't shooting for the same clients that you're shooting for, who could help cover the girls expenses as well as get them some work - wouldn't that be an ideal situation?

That said, I see some recognizable faces in that mix. I feel your pain on the content side though. I have more girls applying for work in a week than I could possibly ever shoot or need myself (I realistically only need 30-60 scenes a month).Which is one reason I am looking to put them all on a model site.

I have offered to Loch and a few others who want girlfriend or foot content send me their scripts, camera, cash, whatever (since I have no interest what so ever in gf, or other niches, outside of feet and tickling) and I will shoot them for them. I could shoot girlfriend content all day long every day for people and in no time they could have cheap a 500 or 1000 scenes!

Few have the cash to afford it though.

So right now, getting all of them registered on a main site, and available to my buddies like Tony404, Jimmy Gunn and a few other industry friends is looking like the ticket right now.

Definitely some pussy there id like to dip...

A few of them have shot Im sure those are just the emails I got in one month. There were a shitload more but they were pretty bad. You get alot of crackwhores and escorts emailing you LOL. Out of 10 emails you get 1 or 2 good ones.

Let me give you some good advice Jay...you need a partner like a hole in the head. Trust me on that one. Just do it yourself man. You'll end up with a lot more money and you don't have to worry about getting fucked in the end

i recognize a few of those girls.. not sure they are all that "fresh" but many of them do look good.
it is getting harder to find well paying shooting gigs, and i have noticed the money takes much longer to come back in your pocket.

I have had some pretty interesting experiences trying to do that. Its best to shoot them and send them home.

True, assuming that you have enough work (and money) to fly them in for work in the first place....which it appears that you don't. So, it seems logical to me that you might consider sharing the expenses with another shooter who is not competing with you (does not shoot for the same clients) and who could help cover the cost of bringing them in and be able to provide them with work once they arrive.

I'm as competitive as the next guy but I would have no problem sharing expenses with another shooter who was not competing for the same dollars that I was competing for. But that's just me :winkwink:

Most of the guys in your niche are stand up guys like you Dean (most). I know a few guys I would send to but most guys in this town would fuck with their heads and they are no longer loyal to you when that happens. :2 cents: Not only that I can shoot them dirt ass cheap by the day when they are amateur and get 4 X the content for the same rate. If I send them to other LA shooters their rate goes up and they are no longer exclusive to whoever I am shooting them for. This is about shooting a girl exclusive then sending her home. I might get a scene for free in the process as well. Girls are happy with a day rate until you send them to the guys that will pay them more and cause them to turn into LA porn whores. :2 cents:

he does need a partner - i've known Jay since Day One and have probably helped him more than anybody. he's tried to do paysites on his own, he's got bills to pay, he needs to shoot for other people to pay his bills and that takes up too much time for him to also be a webmaster - not to mention he needs some money to fly girls like these in and pay them.

I was referring to what happens when the partnership dissolves. And I suppose you're right. If Jays skills are completely in shooting and not in other areas, then he does need someone else if he can't afford to pay someone to do the other things for him.

I'm just thinking to the future. Partnerships can be good, but nothing lasts forever. And when it goes south...

That sounds like a great idea, but if he shoots these models for only his own speculative sites, he would have to put the money on the table himself, before he can pick it up.

Shooting your own stuff for yourself is not cheap (as you know), and then he would need to know how to edit, or hire editors (more money), market his sites, or hire designers/marketers (more money), etc.

Much easier to just shoot for someone else, and more profitable too, as the profit is solid, not speculative over time.

I would never let anybody else edit my stuff. That's 99% of the creativity, every frame I shoot works from the end result that I already have in my mind in it's completely edited form.

But you're right. If Jay's head is 100% in shooter mode then he would have to have a partner. I'm just thinking of the fact that he could be making high 6 figures and up with his own site instead of shooting for companies who are making all that money for themselves off of his work.

I have been editing videos since the late 90s when Media 100 and Avid were just getting popular and have an asscociates degree in film and video production. Editing porn is really easy when you shoot like I do. I was an editor/DVD authoring guy for Bob Burge before I acutally started shooting. If you haven't heard of him he was the directors of numerous classics including Debbie Does Dallas.

Now you're making Robbie's point. If you can light, shoot AND edit your own scenes, then developing sites for yourself may not be that much of a leap after all. You just need a designer and a server.

Jay, I see some of the pics are watermarked, how do you confirm the "authenticity" of the model and make sure it's not just some idiot sending you ex g/f pics he found off the net?

They have their phone number in the form fields of the emails I get so I usually call. I have a few that chat with me online and do free camshows asking me if I think they are good enough. I had one send me a video masturbating and calling out my name this week LOL.
