Do you watch MTV?

My cable is messing up so I only have MTV and the local news. Thank god the cable guy will be here in the am cuz MTV sucks! I'm watching this show " Is She Really Going Out With Him" and they guys are the biggest assholes.

:Oh crap:Oh crap:Oh crap

Watching the news over and over again sucks just as bad.

alexchechs 02-22-2010 09:16 AM

MTV is so impossible to watch these days. It is nowhere near the channel it was in the mid 90s

EdgeXXX 02-22-2010 09:18 AM

I hate MTV with a passion. Viacom has turned it into a tool/douchebag breeding ground.

True dat. However, preferred 80's. Ya know.

When they actually showed music videos?

:disgust

Scott McD 02-22-2010 09:23 AM

I'd rather my actual tv broke, than sit and watch MTV...

Spudman 02-22-2010 09:26 AM

Yeah MTV is shit, it's always playing shit programs like my super sweet 16. Such shit tv!! They need to play some good music.

tranza 02-22-2010 09:26 AM

only realits... ¬¬

pimpware 02-22-2010 09:27 AM

just no brain shows

JamesK 02-22-2010 09:29 AM

MTV is hilarious. I love the reality shows, true face melters.

Tom_PM 02-22-2010 09:30 AM

MTV is televisions perpetual petulant emo teen.

dav3 02-22-2010 09:30 AM

I like how we all screamed 'I want my MTV' in the 80's and 90's so our cable providers would carry it. Then when they all do pick it up, they change it up from Music Television, to Moron Television. Then if you go into the MTV chatrooms and complain that there's no music on there anymore, 100 brainwashed tards will say "That's what MTV2 is for". No, dipshits, that what MTV was for.

In short, Fuck MTV.

J. Falcon 02-22-2010 09:38 AM

Haven't watched in MTV in 15 + years.

John-ACWM 02-22-2010 09:41 AM

About ten years ago I forgot about MTV.

M0nk 02-22-2010 09:45 AM

the M in Mtv was supposed to mean Music... no tyhey should change to Rtv cause all they have are reallity shows...Mtv was the real thing during the 90´s they really ruined it all!

Unless your under 19 MTV is pure crap. They even announced it last week I think they were dumping "Music Television" from their logo. Now they just want to be know as strictly MTV. Even VH1 is turning to garbage. I used to like watching those "I love the 80's" shows they did, now all you find is freaking reality shows.:(

The Duck 02-22-2010 10:10 AM

I stopped watching mtv when I was 15.

Jarmusch 02-22-2010 10:13 AM

Well, you can always TURN OFF YOUR TV.

Just a thought.

SykkBoy 02-22-2010 10:18 AM

I have to admit, I like some of their shows like Scarred (skateboarders, BMXers, etc. eating shit and getting fucked up) and Silent Library (admittedly juvenile, but pretty damn funny)

your problems are really serious, I feel for you and I hope you can watch other channels as soon as possible again. Can I donate? I've set some cash aside for the cancer fund but you can obviously use it alot better.

Chicks Delivery 02-22-2010 12:34 PM

Almost never.....

Everyone slammed MTV for moving away from music videos in the late 90's, but it probably saved them.

"Music Television" can't compete with the on-demand nature of the internet.

So it looks like they were the geniuses.

Are you saying they predicted tube sites years before they appeared?

DamnGoodRatio 02-22-2010 12:47 PM

MTV is just for 15 Y/O girls that don't have a life . . . It DIED in the 90's

TheDoc 02-22-2010 12:50 PM

It died in the 90's because all of you graduated during that time and grew up.... it's always popular to the younger crowds, if it wasn't they would pay the idiots on the shows $10,000's per episode.

Cyber Fucker 02-22-2010 12:53 PM

Nope, I don't watch MTV. Even when I was a kid and I had this chanel I never watched it.

I'm sure their decision to remove much of the music video content was based on a prediction that the internet was going to be really, really big. MTV.com is today much better than the old MTV format.

ShellyCrash 02-22-2010 01:07 PM

I feel bad for kids who are growing up and watching that shit and thinking that's how the world is or ought to be.

I would hate to be raising a kid and having them watch shit like Jersey Shore or any of their dating shows and have them think that is acceptable behavior. Sweet 16? Are you fucking kidding me? I saw some commercials for that show and almost died. Millions of dollars on a birthday party. Who lives like this?

MTV2 doesn't even play music anymore, it's all reruns of old series that used to be on MTV. No hurt feelings about that here though, it;s so rare that station ever played anything I enjoyed.

It would be cool to catch some old liquid television or 120 minutes, but seems like any time I fly by MTV2 it's reruns of stuff like Yo Mamma, or Made. Crapola.

When they shut down Metal Hammer they lost me... I watched Headbangers Ball for a while, but.... not the same! Now MTV just suck!

:thumbsup

La_Sexorcist 02-22-2010 06:21 PM

I stopped watching it when it stopped being Music Television.

HandballJim 02-22-2010 09:04 PM

Jersey Shore, the hills, laguna beach, and the real world. Got into these shows since my wife likes them. I prefer watching "Metal Mania" in the middle of the night on VH1 Classics. :thumbsup

plsureking 02-22-2010 09:46 PM

i dl real world but dont burn it. not savable.

if yur internet works then nothing should be stopping u from watching good tv.

96ukssob 02-22-2010 09:50 PM

i cant tell you the last time i turned on MTV to be honest. I really dont watch that many channels unless they are in HD

SomeCreep 02-22-2010 09:52 PM

Once in a blue moon, I'll watch Cribs if nothing else is on.

mozadek 02-22-2010 09:59 PM

I still watch MTV...only for true life, 16 & pregnant and teen mom. I wonder when MTV will put an end to MTV music awards.

the real magoo 02-23-2010 01:15 AM

I remember when MTV used to be just a music channel

Sarah_Jayne 02-23-2010 04:08 AM

Not for at least a decade. I haven't really watched much music tv for a while now. It dawned on me the other day that as much as I love music and listen to loads of it, I couldn't tell anybody about a recent music video.

It's crazy and not the MTV we all yell we wanted that's for sure. If I had kids I don't think MTV would be something I would let them watch.

HomerSimpson 02-23-2010 06:30 AM

better music is sometimes on FTV...
plus some hot chix...

CyberHustler 02-23-2010 06:50 AM

I stopped watching MTV when they stopped making new episodes of Beavis and Butthead.

Chosen 02-23-2010 07:00 AM

I don't :)
