    Sleazy: Refresher Course For Newbies, Please - WHY Does Everyone Rag On You So Much?

    Personally, I find all the back-and-forth between Sleazy and, well, a shitload of others hilarious. But I have no history, I don't know WHY so many people rip on this guy. I've searched his posts, read his threads, seen his shitty sites and his nice sites (just like everyone else has, which 'proves' beauty/ugliness is the eye of the beholder) and I STILL cannot figure out why so many people say shit about (and directly to) Sleazy.

    He seems like a helpful, decent sort. A bit delusional perhaps, but then again, perhaps not. I mean, like many others, I come here for the business and for the advice that leads to more moolah for moi, I don't "know" how successful someone is (or isn't). I do not come here to rip, or troll, or be a shit-stirrer or any of that, well, shite. But I realize many people do, and (in a weird way) it's what keeps GFY interesting. Everyone likes to watch the shit, once it's been stirred....

    So please, Mr. Sleaze (E), start from the beginning: WHY do people fucking HATE you, man?

                      I have friends who told me they wouldnt, or were basicly scared to, meet Sleazy because he was such a big a-hole on the boards. They however had theirselves prooved wrong.

                                                                  I wasn't around when he was ballin, but he must of been rich enough to own a bar/club which he lost, but lately his threads seem to always revolve around the good old days, but I think things are pretty bleak for him right now.

                                                                  I think GFY keeps him sane for the most part, which is kind of sad.

                                                                              Sleazy helped me tremendously. He's got a huge heart and a great sense of humour. And he's Canadian, which helps. ;)

                                                                              That said, he can be a total dick on the boards. Many people have been surprised when they meet him in person and see his milder side.

                                                                              What has he done? He pisses people off. He's a dick on the boards. Maybe he's a jerk to a few others in real life, I don't know.

                                                                              Sure, we all pine for the good ol' days. Remember when Lightspeed was giving rides in fighter jets at the Vegas show? That was good times. Now maybe it's more like work than the play it seemed ten years ago. Maybe all industries go through this maturation stage.

                                                                              But, I digress. Sleazy is an unknown quantity on the boards. He may just be playing with you, looking for buttons to push. But he doesn't mean it (for the most part.)

                                                                                                  The reason I spark up when the word sleazy comes around, is because my biz is teaching newbies. I have been sleazy since the old days of ynot back in 95. It does cause confusion. Him and I have went around and around on this issue for years. Because of my employer I could not speak out against anyone on another board. Politics you could say. He swears up and down that he knew nothing about me and we never talked. Funny how he is on my icq list from years ago. I don't even use icq anymore. If you say its chopped fine, I have a go to my pc acount, I would be happy to let in anyone that is an admin to this board in to verify it.

                                                                                                                          I knew I would not be able to get a one word url so I wrote down two lists of names related to adult. sleazy was on one side - along with about 15 other words, and dream was on the other - also with about 15 words. I put them together and when I came across SleazyDream I liked how it sounded and ran with that. there was no reference to the term in existence I could find at that time. It had nothing to do with you, I had no idea you existed or who you were when I did that - this was late dec 1999 or early jan 2000.

I teach webmasters and newbies, that is my biz. When someone come looking for me, and they see the name Sleazy and they see all these why is Sleazy be a dick, or why is he hated, that can reflect on me. There is some great things said about you, by some good people. You have a lot of knowlege, your well respected by a lot of people. You may be a fantastic person in person, but people see you for you by what you post on a board. I am not following you, I am just clearing up, that I am not you. Because there is a lot of people that know me from many years as Sleazy.
                                                                                                                              As far as your trademark, your not even protecting it.

I have no business dealings with Sleazy, or have I ever had and I saw through that. It was OBVIOUS it was an online act, people who took it all seriously deserved to be called IDIOTS ;).

                                                                                                                                                                          my trademark is specific to online adult entertainment. it would not cover music so that would be ok. i liked the music too. I found about about a rock band called sleazydream too a few years ago (i actually think they named it after my site liking the name)

                                                                                                                                                                          i've enforced the trademark many times over the years. if a site is infringing and has no traffic it's not worth my time to go after it though.. so why bother as no traffic means no effect on my business. I can go after it, but my time is better spent elsewhere. I do enforce it when their commerce effects my business
